Black Alabama man, 24, tasered by female cop who told him 'your b**** a** ain't so tough now' breaks silence on 'traumatizing' arrest ordeal where he was also wrongly held on fentanyl charge

A black Alabama man who had been tasered by a white cop and arrested for trafficking fentanyl is now sharing his harrowing story.

Officer Dana Elmore was seen on camera swearing and tasing Micah Washington, 24, with a stun gun while he was in handcuffs.

He was charged with trafficking fentanyl, but the charge and its accompanying $500,000 bond were dropped after 'further testing' showed the substance in his possession was not the opioid drug.

In an interview with ABC, Washington revealed what had happened during the incident and explained that he had never had a run-in or issue with police before.

'I try to act okay, but I am really traumatized. I don't know how to feel about police now.'

He told the channel that he and his brother were changing a flat tire on the side of the road near his aunt's home when Elmore approached and asked to see his ID.

By then, Washington began to ask what was wrong and why he had to show his ID while complying with her order.

'I was respectful saying yes ma'am, no ma'am,' he said.

'She asked me to go stand in the back of the car but I was like I'm not being detained and I don't have to do anything.

'She grabbed me and I was standing between the back door and driver door, trying to turn my camera on and record her but she tased me for the first time and put her foot in my back after I fell.'

As soon as Washington fell, his brother, Shikeem Washington, began to record the video and on his request, his friend went to get the victim's aunt.

Could be part of the issue is that when the DA/Mayor/City won’t prosecute the perps the cops arrest at peril to themselves, the cops are frustrated and angry and are more tempted to do a bit of “punishment” themselves.
Talked to cops of a couple local towns...their departments were hiring but the cops said people not applying.
Folks don’t want to be a cop.
Of course, this is California.
Was at a local Apple store at the local mall.
Was a retired cop working as security standing outside the front door of the store.
Went over and chatted with him a bit.
Asked him what he is to do if someone goes in and shoplifts iPhones, iPads, etc.
He said he has to just stand there and do nothing.
Small wonder cops get stressed when the DA’s don’t have their backs.

“Get away from those Youtube lawyers, you are swelling in stupid like a sponge sucking up sewage waste.

You have the right to be dumb on your own time.”

My Dad was an elected officer of the court. My uncle was a CHP retired as Sargent, then was a County Marshal and officer of the court. My aunt was a local judge’s clerk. And my Sheriff’s Officer Son in law just retired and burnt his uniform.

I’m inside the blue circle and understand how it is supposed to work just fine.

“Not if you’re rich with expensive attorneys, or are powerful and well-connected, or belong to a powerful and well-connected community, or are able to bring the media in on your side.”

Exactly right.

“Yes, if you think your rights have been violated, get a lawyer.”

No... it is THEIR JOB to make sure they DO NOT violate civilian rights in the course of doing their duty. They have no right to make mistakes and then put an extreme burden and hardship on the accused to prove it was a mistake. Should not have to fix something that should have never happened in the first place. They know better but do it anyhow because they are a protected class and civilians are not.

They are doing their job. The courts have determined what I’m telling you.

If you think they aren’t doing the job, within the limitations that have been imposed upon them, get a lawyer.

“They are doing their job.”

They are civil servants first and foremost. It “IS” their job and upmost priority to not violate the rights of or create undue hardships on innocent civilians in any form or fashion even if it means they don’t “get their guy” once in awhile.

Courts once ruled that it was legal for drug enforcement officers to entrap drug users by literally dealling them drugs and then busting them for possession of drugs. This was a huge issue back in the 70s. Were these rulings honest or just? Break the law to arrest law breakers?

No, I don’t care what courts have decided, unconstitutional is unconstitutional. The courts have approved all kinds of unconstitutional issues. Just look at California as an example of this trend.

It’s their job to follow the law. The law says an officer can ask for your ID if he has reasonable cause to do so, but he doesn’t have to tell you what that cause if he doesn’t want to.

The law says the only time you have to be informed as to why you are being arrested is when you are arraigned.

If you don’t like the law, work to change it.

See, the problem is a difference of perspective. You agree with the false perspective that civilians work for them. When they actually work for us. They have a sense that they can go around and bite the hand that feeds them and get a pass no matter what they do.

This perspective is becoming a problem. Now businesses are doing the same thing and have the same attitude towards their customers. They place you on the defensive as if you work for them. When in reality they work for you.

It is a dishonest psychological scam they are trying to play. It is the employee trying to boss around the true boss. And LE does exactly the same thing...

He was also charged with possession of a firearm as an ex felon and possession< of marijuana.

Did those charges stick or were they dropped too?

An unconstitutional law is not a law.

The courts have ruled otherwise.

Let me break this down...

“It’s their job to follow the law. The law says an officer can ask for your ID if he has reasonable cause to do so, but he doesn’t have to tell you what that cause if he doesn’t want to.”

If the suspect asks they DO have to explain why they are violating their rights. They can’t just violate your rights without verbally “informing” you why “if you ask”.

“The law says the only time you have to be informed as to why you are being arrested is when you are arraigned.”

In some states, in others they have to vocalize and inform you why you are being arrested.

“If you don’t like the law, work to change it.”

Which is exactly what I am trying to do right now sir... The masses need to be educated about their individual Constitutional rights. They need to understand THEY are the boss, not LE.

No. I just explained the law as I understand it and researched it and how the courts ruled.

Soros DA’s are applying the law as you argue it should be applied. How is it working out? Is crime getting better in those cities or worse? Would you want to walk the street where criminals have been set free because the left wants the Constitution to be used to burn the country down?

They have also ruled that the 1st can be infringed. But that does not make it Constitutional does it.

Oliver Wendell Holmes said that the Constitution was not meant to be a suicide document, where you destroy the country through an unwillingness to provide reasonable accommodations o account for practicalities.

Wait... We are debating about two whole different forks of the justice system now. Each needs to be addressed separately, not lumped together. One is the officer’s interaction, the second is “the system” once the officer throws you into it or not depending on how authoritarian “Nazi” they are.

Now even though I am fighting this one very important ID issue, let me tell you a short story about what kind of person I am so you will understand where I am coming from...

One time while my wife was pregnant and about to deliver she needed to go to the store. I tried my best to let me go in for her but because she needed some “personal” items and the eyeliner had to be the right color so I lost the argument.

Because of her condition I took a risk and parked in one of the handicapped spaces. As soon as she was in the store an officer pulled in and parked behind me (blocking the whole entrance in or out of the store parking lot creating an extreme traffic hazard himself by the way). He asked for my handicap credentials. I explained that my wife was about ready to pop and that is why I parked there. He didn’t have any compassion at all and wrote me up anyhow.

Well he was right, I did park where I should not have and deserved the ticket. So the ticket was $50. When I went into the courthouse to just pay the ticket my uncle who was acting bailiff that day came over and asked me what I was doing there. I explained what had happened and that I owed the ticket because I was in the wrong.

He immediately told me I need to fight the ticket. Why? “Because I am familiar with that space you are talking about and it is no longer properly marked. The sign is so faded you can’t read it, and the lines are worn off. It is no longer “obvious” as a handicap space.

But uncle chuck? I am guilty and I’m just going to pay the ticket and get it over with. He argued again and said, look you need to fight this so that they will be forced to fix it for others. I took him aside out of hearing range of others and told him “But Chuck... I had an open beer I slipped under the seat as he pulled up next to me. I feel lucky this was all I got...”

“Oh...” As an alcoholic himself who has done that himself he let me off the hook at that point to go just pay the ticket. I walked up to the counter and of course who comes to the counter? My Aunt... Slow day so she is helping man the counter. “What are you here for?” A parking ticket... “Wait! did you talk to your uncle Chuck first?”.

Yes I did can I please just pay the ticket and go? lol

The point of the story is right is right and wrong is wrong. Period. Rulings CAN be wrong. And if they are right I will support the fact they are right. But if they are wrong I am going to fight as hard as I can against them because they are wrong.

This is what honest “law abiding” citizens should do. Just is just, unjust is unjust no matter how the courts rule. Contrary to popular belief, Cops are not righteous Gods and always right. Good lord do I know going up surrounded by them...

By the way... My LE father was proud of me for fighting against my aunt and uncle and just paying the ticket because I was guilty and knew it... :)

In many states failure to identify is a crime.

Nope.

Especially when pulled over for potential traffic offenses. In those encounters police have a right to identify you.

Now there you are right. If you are the one behind the wheel.

If you are not then the minions of the law can go play with themselves which is what they seem to do quite a bit.

We have yet to reach the point in this country where we must have our papers on us at all times like good and meek slaves.

But we are getting there and as you can see from this thread many people will be cheering on the slave hunters.
