I don’t recall seeing any toy store divided into boys’ and girls’ sections, as they do with clothing. If you are shopping for a boy, you go to the section of the store where they have the things boys tend to be interested in. If you are shopping for a girl, you go to the section of the store where they have the things girls tend to be interested in. Given the current gender-identity demographics, you have a 95% or better chance of winding up in the right place. If Johnny wants an Easy-Bake Oven or Janie wants a remote-control monster truck, you go to the appropriate section. I would find it hard to believe that the current arrangement would prohibit any shopper from doing just that.

There are plenty of things in the store that are already strictly neutral — games, sporting goods, etc.

You know — it’s all common sense, a foreign concept to the government of California, and some other places as well.

Soon it won’t be just us Boomers who remember (first hand) when this was a free country. The “good old days” ended a while ago. Child asking a parent what was “Free enterprise” and what did “This is a free country” mean?
