My wife used to watch the Hallmark Channel every December as they have literally hundreds of Christmas movies going nonstop.
The basic plot is that a city girl goes back home to the country for Christmas and meets a rugged guy. They fall in love and the girl gives up her city job to stay in the country and they live happily ever after.
She hasn't watched that channel in a few years and now I think I know why.

It sure seems the holiday male co-stars on Hallmark and Great American Family movies are gay. There is usually a gay couple at least in the background of every movie.
