Starved Israeli hostages were drugged, fed before release so they’d look calm and happy on camera: ‘Psychological torture’

Starved Israeli hostages were fed tranquilizers and extra food right before they were freed by Hamas to make them appear calm and happy for the cameras, Israel said Tuesday.

An Israeli Health Ministry leader told a Knesset Health Committee that the 110 civilian hostages returned in a swap for Palestinian terror suspects last week were given the Israeli brand of Klonopin “to improve their mood,” according to the Times of Israel.

The benzodiazepine-class sedative and muscle relaxant can produce a euphoric feeling, which could explain why at least one hostage went viral for her supposed “look of love” toward a Hamas fighter.

“This is part of the psychological terror Hamas put [the hostages] through,” lawmaker Moshe Saada said, as health officials also noted they had found evidence of “war crimes” on the bodies of some of the freed prisoners, who were captured in a deadly Oct. 7 raid that killed more than 1,200 Israelis.

“A pill like this, for someone who is not used to its influence, works quickly to give you a feeling that you’re high when their mental state was actually very low,” Saada said.

Hamas is evil, and all the Ivy League students who support it are seriously deluded!

God save Harvard! God save MIT! God save Israel! Amen!

The kids behind the vehicle don’t look scared; they look like they “enjoyed” the company of the Israeli women. Death to all of them…

The women look either drugged or extremely tired.

We learn about the Hamas atrocities but the silence from the Biden Regime comes from the fluttering eyelids of press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Why is Biden so quiet? Is he worried about his Far Leftnik voters who will support him in 2024? Maybe the answer comes from Sheldon Adelson's 2012 editorial in the Jewish News Syndicate:

"Think about Obama’s anti-Israel friends and mentors—radicals like Rashid Khalidi, Frank Marshall Davis, Jeremiah Wright, or the late Edward Said, the virulently anti-Israel professor under whom Obama studied. Has he made anti-Israel promises to them? Is Obama’s campaign rhetoric in support of Israel only creating “space” till after the election?

These questions cause genuine worry in Israel.

Even some liberals now complain the president has lost so much Israeli trust that, in the words of Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic, “there is almost no chance of progress [for peace] if Obama wins re-election.”

Given that Obama’s public expressions are not something Israelis can rely upon, we need to take seriously the question: What are his second term plans when he no longer needs the Jewish vote?"

It is obvious Obama's anti-Jewish sentiments influenced Biden. Check out these words by Jeffrey T. Kuhner - The Washington Times - Thursday, February 17, 2011:

"President Obama is siding with Israel’s enemies. He is slowly fracturing America’s long-standing alliance with the Jewish state and leaving it isolated on the world stage.

The administration recently told Arab governments Washington will support a U.N. Security Council resolution that stipulates the world body “does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlement activity.” The move is almost unprecedented. America has almost never publicly criticized Israel - our best friend in the Middle East and the region’s only genuine Western-style democracy - at the U.N. The reason: The organization is dominated by anti-Semitic, anti-American dictatorships obsessed with condemning the Jewish state. Israel is lambasted constantly while the rampant human rights abuses of other countries - especially Arab regimes, Russia and China - are barely noticed. The United States has opposed this double standard - until now.

The result will be to drive a wider wedge between Washington and Jerusalem. Israelis rightly will conclude that Mr. Obama is willing to betray a pivotal pro-American ally in order to appease the “Arab street.” Radical Islamists also will realize that Washington’s support is fickle; their dream of driving the Jews into the sea no longer seems unattainable. In fact, now it is entirely possible."
