A total of seven people, including two police officers, were stabbed by the suspect in the New York borough of Queens. The scene was described as "chaos" by a police union chief.

How do 2 LE officers get stabbed? Does NYC ban on guns extend to cops?
The cops might have gotten too close to the knife-wielding nut. Once an attacker with a knife gets within 20 feet, there normally isn't enough time to get a gun out of its holster and fire the assailant.
Anyway, for those of us who don't wanna go to the link, what happened to end it? Did a third cop(s) shoot him, or did something else happen?
Also what's his name and is he "from around here" or is he "not from around here"?
[Common Sense Knife Control]
Courtney Gordon, 38, was a cousin visiting the home. Used a steak knife to murder two children and two adults, plus 61-year old woman stabbed and in critical condition. The bastard also started a fire in the LR. Responding cops saw Gordon leaving the house with a suitcase; asked Gordon what was up. In reply Gordon stabbed one officer in the neck and the other in the head. Despite being stabbed, one of them managed to shoot/kill the monster.
Black American male. Homeless. Prior arrest for attempted strangulation in a domestic incident (but nothing in Queens or at the victim’s home). Mental issues/depressed. Family tried to help/at wits end. Sad story similar to far too many.
First they came for the knives and I did nothing
then they came for the forks and I did nothing
When the came for the spoons, it was too late.

Why don’t we have reasobable knife control laws in this country? Meat eaters are to blame: another mass stabbing with a “steak knife.” Ban meat and register steak knives!
We also need strict SUV control.
