Well, I WAS on the cover of New Hampshire Magazine this year, that should count for SOMETHING.

This appears to be an outbreak of Mycoplasma pneumonia, possibly resistant to azithromycin (or not, unclear yet). It's not a new pathogen, and the "white lung" is just FUD spreading - all pneumonias turn black (air containing spaces) white on a chest X ray.
