First son Hunter Biden has offered to publicly testify before the House Oversight Committee investigating his business ties, according to a copy of a letter his attorney sent to the panel obtained by The Post.
Hunter, 53, agreed to testify on Dec. 13 in a letter sent to the panel, which was first obtained by NBC News.
He was subpoenaed by House Republicans earlier this month, and was originally summoned to appear in a closed-door, transcribed interview.
But his attorney suggested details of a private sitdown would be selectively leaked to “manipulate” the facts.
“We have seen you use closed-door sessions to manipulate, even distort the facts and misinform the public. We therefore propose opening the door,” his lawyer Abbe Lowell said in the letter.
“Your Committee has been working for almost a year — without success — to tie our client’s business activities to his father,” he said, accusing the House panel of “manipulating” Hunter’s “legitimate business dealings” and history of addiction “into a politically motivated basis for hearings to accuse his father of some wrongdoing.”

Let’s all remember Hunter is still basically a good boy./S
He just offered himself up? What an awesome and fearless dude!
I cannot recall repeat
No no no no! He's the Second Son. The First Son died saving orphan baby whales in Iraq. Joe was there!
He will lie under oath. When required Slow Joe will pardon his son for all crimes. This is completely a transparent political charade. Kabuki theater as some call it.
I imagine once this is over, Hunter will have sold 10 to 15 of his finger paintings to his interrogators.
LOL.......
I don’t recall! I don’t remember! I have no recollection!
REPORT: First American Released By Hamas Is RELATED To A Hunter Biden Art Buyer
“I don’t remember.”
“I can’t recall.”
“I have no recollection of that.”
“That is not in my memory.”
“It was too long ago.”
RINSE, LATHER, REPEAT..............AD INFINITUM
Let’s all remember Hunter is still basically a “good boy,”
his father said “he’s done nothing wrong” and is “very proud” of him.
REMEMBER....Hunter did NOT want to testify UNTIL AFTER HE SPENT A WEEK IN NANTUCKET WITH BIG DONORS AND COACHES!!
Well, it is the Christmas season after all
Under oath? Bet not.
“I don’t recall! I don’t remember! I have no recollection!”
What’s the downside of having him say this publicly versus in a private deposition?
Hunter did not want to testify. He was served a subpoena requiring him to testify. There is no volunteering to testify once you are compelled to testify.
As one of the House managers said, Hunter doesn’t get to dictate house rules.
EC
Pointing and ridiculing?
No guts.
