I’ve built hundreds of houses over 50 years and owned a couple thousand rental units at one time or another starting in 1971. My taxes back then (1971) were about 1.5%. You are paying about 2% which is what I pay also west of Austin.
With no income tax and fuel prices about half California prices we are still far better off. That said, I wish the California refugees WOULD go to a different state.
