Tell me about the Tx state income tax?
And no law in Texas prevents one from just leaving.
The writer is Alcynna the Hyena...put a sprinkle of salt on what she reports.
“Tell me about the Tx state income tax?”
If you have income in Texas, you don’t pay income tax. If you don’t have income in Texas, you also don’t pay income tax. And, if you have an s-load of income, but live in a crappy house, you still don’t pay income tax and you pay very little property tax.
It’s called FREEDOM - if you want a house to show off to the Jones’, then you’ll pay a pretty penny in property tax. If you don’t care about the Jones’, then you can pay next to nothing in property tax.
Any other questions?
Depends on where in Texas you live.
I pay county and school taxes. About $2,800 a year on my $175,000 property. No income tax. We have the appraisal districts in control. There is a limit on how much taxing districts can raise taxes per year, so some boost the valuation of homes. My wife really watches what’s going on in our area as far as the tax Assessor Collector is doing.
My farmer friends are also very pro-active.
