REVEALED: Donald Trump commuted sentence of drug dealer Jonathan Braun who's now gone back to being a LOAN SHARK: Crook is accused of using close tie to Jared Kushner to secure prison release

A drug dealer who had his prison sentence commuted by Donald Trump has returned to loan sharking as his family's ties to Jared Kushner might have helped get him free, according to a report.

Staten Islander Jonathan Braun, 40, had served two-and-a-half years of his decade-long sentence for running an illegal marijuana cartel when the former president set him free along with 142 others.

Braun is accused of returning to offering high-interest loans despite nationwide bans on the practice, according to the New York Times...

Braun was in the inaugural class of the Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston, New Jersey, which was funded by the family of Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner, according to the New York Times.

A source told the Times that in 2020, the accused loan shark's father - Jacob Braun - approached Kushner's father - Charles Kushner - about the possibility of securing a pardon from the then-president.

Others who dealt with Braun told investigators his family helped secure his prison release through their connections with Trump's senior advisor at the time, Jared Kushner, and his family, per the Times...

It was revealed that just months after Trump freed him, Braun allegedly began preying on borrowers again by offering loans, according to New York's Attorney General and the Times.

A New York judge barred Braun from working in the industry the same month, and weeks later, he was hit with a nationwide ban following a complaint from the Federal Trade Commission.

'Mr. Braun and his company targeted small business consumers with an egregious array of tactics, from predatory contract terms to violent threats, and the court’s opinion is a significant win on their behalf,' Samuel Levine, Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection said in an October 2023 release.

In order to be PARDONED, YOU MUST ADMIT AND ACCEPT GUILT!
That’s simply not true.

He pardoned Steve Bannon on his last day in office and Bannon had not been convicted of anything.

But it is true, you have to apply for a pardon. The jan 6 people did not have the time and NO ONE expected what happened to happen.

RE: … failed to pardon those who stood up for him on January 6th.

How can Trump exercise that power to pardon when :

1. The names of those arrested and the circumstances behind their arrest were not fully known yet?

2. He was on his way OUT of office two weeks later?

Did Bannon apply for a pardon? If so, I don’t remember it.
I also don’t remember Nixon applying for one!
It seems out of Nixon’s character to do so but maybe he did.

Looks like Angelino97, Fury, jz638, thegagline and Drew68 are going to be voting for the Biden/Harris ticket again.

Argumentum falsum dilemma.

Just the facts regarding jan 6. A pardon must be requested and there wasn’t time for jan 6 and NO ONE expected what happened to happen.

I voted for Trump twice, as I said elsewhere. And I'll probably vote for him if he's the Republican nominee.

But that doesn't mean I'm fanatically devoted to him, as some people seem to be.

Apart from his bad pardons, and bad non-pardons, there's also his support for Covid lockdowns, support for the vaccine, failure to stop the massive and fraud-ridden Covid stimulus spending, or the rioting in 2020. Then there's his Platinum Plan for Black America, which would have added to inflation had it passed in a second term.

But the acts were out there. The facts were known. People were being hunted. None of those things were true about the Jan6 folks

Just because you don’t remember, does’t mean much.

It just that you don’t like the facts.

Read the sight. Trump is not a KING that can do as he wants. He works within the law.

https://www.justice.gov/pardon

For all the crap Trump stood up to, if he could have he would have.

NO ONE expected the evilness of Jan 6.

Again, this is simply not true. The president's powers to pardon are nearly absolute.

How Does Someone Obtain a Presidential Pardon?

Dumb analogy.

Conviction and sentencing of draft dodgers was highly precedented and predictable, and those who did it were on record as having done so.

By contrast, there was no precedent for convicting peaceful protesters, and no way President Trump could have predicted it.

Furthermore, you know this ya dumb-ass.

Again,

There were a lot of things going on at that point. and NO ONE expected the dems to be so evil. DID YOU?

Yes a President can do that but it is very rare not to follow the process. Why do you think that is? There is a reason.

But it appears you will not think and learn.

I agree with you, Pres. Trump should have issued a blanket pardon for all who were present Jan 6. It was a tragic oversight and I suspect he deeply regrets it. Let’s give him the opportunity to correct this mistake in January 2025.
