REVEALED: Donald Trump commuted sentence of drug dealer Jonathan Braun who's now gone back to being a LOAN SHARK: Crook is accused of using close tie to Jared Kushner to secure prison release

A drug dealer who had his prison sentence commuted by Donald Trump has returned to loan sharking as his family's ties to Jared Kushner might have helped get him free, according to a report.

Staten Islander Jonathan Braun, 40, had served two-and-a-half years of his decade-long sentence for running an illegal marijuana cartel when the former president set him free along with 142 others.

Braun is accused of returning to offering high-interest loans despite nationwide bans on the practice, according to the New York Times...

Braun was in the inaugural class of the Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston, New Jersey, which was funded by the family of Ivanka Trump's husband, Jared Kushner, according to the New York Times.

A source told the Times that in 2020, the accused loan shark's father - Jacob Braun - approached Kushner's father - Charles Kushner - about the possibility of securing a pardon from the then-president.

Others who dealt with Braun told investigators his family helped secure his prison release through their connections with Trump's senior advisor at the time, Jared Kushner, and his family, per the Times...

It was revealed that just months after Trump freed him, Braun allegedly began preying on borrowers again by offering loans, according to New York's Attorney General and the Times.

A New York judge barred Braun from working in the industry the same month, and weeks later, he was hit with a nationwide ban following a complaint from the Federal Trade Commission.

'Mr. Braun and his company targeted small business consumers with an egregious array of tactics, from predatory contract terms to violent threats, and the court’s opinion is a significant win on their behalf,' Samuel Levine, Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection said in an October 2023 release.

I think you should have edited your response better. If I may add an item to the time machine discussion: term limits for congress and senate, no life time appointments to the SC.

Well, go run for office and show us all how smart you are and perfect and completely in control. Do it and put your ass where your mouth is.

No pardon for Snowden or Assange who did more to expose the Deep State than anyone

That was indeed shameful.

Because plenty of people were arrested for entering the Capitol on January 6th before Trump left office.

You'll just get blank stares. About 12-15 people were arrested prior to January 20. President Trump had PLENTY of time to do a blanket pardon. Instead, crickets.

Rightly or wrongly, the Presidential pardon power is essentially "bulletproof". When I posted circa summer 2022 the number of people arrested prior to January 20, the excuses made for President Trump not doing so were fast and furious.

Desantis isn’t going to win the GOP nomination. Neither is Christie neither is Haley. Ron Paul will never run for the office again and his son is now a firm Trump supporter. Donald Trump is a lot of things. He is a human with human faults and a man who scores victories and makes mistakes.

When long after you and I are gone and the history is written, it will be noted that one of Donald Trumps greatest accomplishments will be the powerful way the man exposed the Uni Party Rinos in the GOP.

I wish to heaven above you people would spend just half the amount of time you do bashing Trump to instead fixing the big problems in your party! And to those who will clap back at me with the comment, I’m not a member of the GOP, all I can say is you sure sound like a bunch of Uni Party hacks!

That's simply not true.

He pardoned Steve Bannon on his last day in office and Bannon had not been convicted of anything.

You are correct. He could have, he didn’t. He made many mistakes. The biggest was not fixing voter fraud when we screamed and hollered that the Dems were stealing elections.

I’m still voting for him.

An interesting insight to the the TRUMP HATERS.

Roughly half of them hate him for making pardons.

The other half hate him for not making pardons.

The one half maintains that he is evil for making the pardons he has made and the Constitution should not allow the president to have the absolute power to make pardons.

The other half maintains that he is evil because he did not make a greater effort to circumvent the legal process and pardon everyone.

But those of us who respect rump understand that as fantastic as he is, he is not God. Only God makes zero errors.

And ensuring that they were replaced in Washington DC by Democrats.

Agree!
Another example Nixon, Nixon was not convicted of anything, not even impeached!
Ford pardoned Nixon.

I disagree. Most of us only know the depths of corruption and power exercised by the politicians by the unjust jailing of J6r’s. If Trump had pardoned them, even if Bidon had not overturned the pardon, we would not have known just how corrupt our politicians have become.

Unfortunate for them, but the oligarchy of Washington have been revealed in light of J6.

TDS is a fairly serious illness.

He made many mistakes. The biggest was not fixing voter fraud when we screamed and hollered that the Dems were stealing elections.

That can also be partially blamed on Kushner. Trump put Kushner in charge of his reelection, so Kushner should have focused like a laser on that, including voter fraud.

Instead, Kushner was busy with his Abraham Accords, which he could have set aside for Trump's second term. That he wanted to get it done ASAP (and thus prioritized it over the election) shows me that he never expected there to be a second term.

It is a hit piece.

Also. the air-brained idea that President Trump could have pardoned Jan 6 prisoners makes absolutely no sense, and has been debunked here a thousand times.

What is wrong with you?

Well it is a hit piece even if it is true. You don’t think they would be writing stories about who Obama or Biden pardoned, and what those people did later on.

I don’t like Kushner and I never did.

And ensuring that they were replaced in Washington DC by Democrats.

So you end up replacing one democrat with another democrat. That may be news to you but many of the rest of US have figured that out.
