It’s actually more than 20%, especially for food items. You need only go to Walmart every couple of days over a year’s period to see that. I go regularly to buy food items that are marked down because they’re going out of date and I see other items I USED to buy up 50-100%.
Or just go to McDonalds and buy a hashbrowns, Egg McMuffin and small coffee.....you used to buy them for half what they are not (in the $7 range at best).
“and I see other items I USED to buy up 50-100%.”
Absolutely, same here. 50-100% is the most common mark up.
A McDonald’s hashbrowns, Egg McMuffin and small coffee cost me 11 bucks or so this past Wednesday.
Here in Allentown, I purchased a 20 piece chicken nugget and large fries (no drink) for $14.38.
The McDonalds employees were ALL from third world countries, and few spoke English. Most of them were a mix of black and Hispanic mongoloid. They were dirty and unkept. A far cry from the 1950’s McDonalds dining experience. Will not be going there again.
The USA has gone to hell.
I like the small sausage breakfast burrito at Mickey D’s. three weeks ago. Sun: $2.39 Wed 2.59. Friday 2.79. Cal keeps raising the minimum wage especially for fast food workers.
Bill Gates Calls Planting Trees to Improve Climate Change “Nonsense”
Gates Spends $13.5 Million on McDonald’s French Fries.
In 2022, Gates was part of an acquisition to buy 2,100 acres of farmland, in North Dakota as well as 14,000 acres in the Columbia Basin of Washington State.
All of which, were grown to eventually become McDonald’s French fries.
