Pro-Palestine protesters disrupted the beloved Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday by gluing their hands to the middle of 6th Avenue.
Several protesters — wearing white jumpsuits covered in fake blood — glued their hands to the ground just before 11 a.m. in the middle of the parade’s path, prompting NYPD officers to divert balloons and the rest of the balloons and floats heading to Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square.
Demonstrators were also seen in the middle of the parade carrying a banner that read, “Genocide then. Genocide Now.”
It came after a poster, using a photo of model Bella Hadid at a pro-Palestinian rally a few years ago, announced plans to ruin the family event.
“We’re shutting down NYC Thanksgiving Day Parade,” said the poster shared widely online.
