"Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said Angelenos should expect the freeway to be closed for some time."

Extremely busy freeway, and there is a lot that has to happen even before the repairs can begin:

"Several things must occur before construction can begin — starting with an investigation into the cause of the fire. ...Mitigation of hazardous materials also needs to be completed before a detailed structural analysis of the damaged portions of the freeway can commence. Engineers will be inspecting the freeway’s columns and bridge deck."

I expect this could take a very long time given with how things are built around Los Angeles.

News reports over the weekend (I live locally) kept mentioning a fire in a pallet storage yard - there were homeless nearby that "scattered."

Nothing about the fire being started IN the homeless camp.

Had to get this news from Breitbart.

California continues to give daily demonstrations of what the US looks like when it becomes a 3rd world country.

I am betting it will take a minimum of 6 months since it is CalTrans doing the job, hell it could be YEARS!!

Either way, it’s a small price to pay for electing an angry black woke female for mayor.

The 10 may be the most difficult freeway to repair. Not just logistics. The workers and equipment will need 24 hour armed protection.

If Gavin Newsom (God Forbid) ever becomes president, you can expect this across the nation.

Ditto for inept mayor Karen Bass.

Get a crane and load weights such as concrete barricades on the freeway section impacted.

Within a few days the freeway will pass the test or collapse.

Like the Maui fire this could have been foretold to anyone who would listen. Pile up combustible material and sooner or later the fire will happen. In Hawaii it was unmowed grass grown adjacent to residential areas. In CA, it’s just idiocracy showing the results!

There was an extensive YouTube video on hostile city architecture. That’s sewer grates you can’t sleep on or benches you can’t lay on. I turned the thing off as the trajectory of it was how horrible this was. I know from experience that if there are homeless around your business you can’t conduct business. The solution to homelessness is to not allow it. It isn’t helping these people to enable them with clean needles, health care and food. Homelessness needs to be made impossible. It sounds like cruelty, but is indulging people’s self-destruction a kind thing to do? (The same goes for trans.) Sometimes the only answer is tough love. A friend’s son told me the very best thing that ever happened to him was when his parents threw him out of the house. It was the sincerest thing I ever heard him say.

A former California lawmaker was asked if California, which was spending billions of the homeless issue, would ever solve it. He said, that money goes to non-governmental groups and the CEO’s of those groups make, on average $800,000 per year. What is their incentive to solve the problem? This is how we get free health care, food and needles for the homeless, to ensure that money keeps flowing.

I suspect it is a matter of how long the fire impacted a section.

If the reinforcing steel expanded from heat the section will be made weaker.

Gavin Newsom for President! “He’ll do to America what he’s done to California!”

He’s hit all time lows as far as approval ratings - but what does he care? He well knows about vote fraud and how to use it, some say it all started here in the formerly Golden State.
