...
An American dad who moved to Sweden with his wife and young daughter has revealed the staggering differences in the school systems which ultimately forced the family back to the US.
Andy Kryza, from Los Angeles, said that he 'felt like he had won the lottery' after being offered the chance to relocate with his wife and young daughter.
The family had idealized Scandinavia, believing that Sweden was 'a utopia with happy people, gorgeous nature, and world-class schools.'
But he has since candidly laid bare that 'the grass wasn't necessarily greener' after making the move in 2021 - only to return two years later.
...
the pace of learning turned out to be a shock.
'We soon learned that in the early years of school, teachers mostly prioritized socialization and play,' ..
'We worried that our daughter would regress and forget the core math and science she had excelled with but assumed things would progress in year two. They didn't.'
...
Unexpectedly, our daughter began complaining about a lack of challenges.'
Andy mused that the pace was likely due to the teachers' policy of not letting kids fall behind as they 'paused advancement to ensure everybody was on the same page.'
He branded it as 'admirably progressive' but by eight years old he said his daughter 'couldn't do simple division and once asked us what science was.'
'When addressing our concerns with teachers, we were met with a cold: "This is how we do things here."
'Eventually, we had to decide whether to trust the Swedish system or move back to the US. We chose the latter to avoid letting her get too far behind.'

And a good thing - before their daughter got “socialized” by the Musloid immigrants to Sweden...
The greener grass on the other side of the fence is usually on top of a septic table.
I’m going to assume that the daughter was learning more about Marxist garbage than about getting an actual education.
Grrrrrrrr….. *Septic tank
Yep.
I have a friend that’s a Ethiopian immigrant to Sweden and even he says there was just too much immigration and Sweden messed up their own country. Now he lives in the US.
Too many Muslims?
I don’t blame him for leaving Sweden 🇸🇪.
Since he's an Ethiopian, I assume that he's a Christian.
The grass is always greener over the septic tank. [Extra points if you know the author]
I call it the ‘race to the bottom’ education policy and it sucks!
They’re doing the same type of stuff in inner city school systems here too. Just ask yourself, why are so many students graduating that are so utterly ignorant? It’s because they’ve given up on teaching them anything difficult so they don’t hurt anyone’s feelings.
The NEA and the NFT need to be thrown out like bad bath water, then we can try to save the baby.
Thank you Erma Bombeck.
See my #13
You’re welcome, Gilbert Gottfried.
The late Erma Bombeck.
Yeah, we talked pretty openly about Malmo and the bombings etc and the other Americans around us were like what? I though Sweden was peaceful. “It was,” he said with a smirk.
There is no utopia, not in Sweden, or Scandinavia, or anywhere else. There is better and there is worse. If nothing else they got to spend two years in Europe and that couldn't hurt their daughter. Culturally expanding.
The Musloid students are learning math in their schools because their parents aren’t stupid. In fact, it was Muslims who gave us much of what we have in math.
I have often thought that it was going to take a dictator to set this country back on course. Because is can't be accomplished in a free society once it has traveled too far down the path we have been on. Especially when you have mass immigration as we have had for too many decades.
With the doors now flung wide open, it won't be long before the replacement society is here & in firm control.
