DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Thousands of Palestinians sheltering from the Israel-Hamas war at Gaza City’s main hospital fled south Friday after several reported strikes in and around the compound overnight. They joined a growing exodus of people escaping intense urban fighting in the north — including near other hospitals — as Gaza officials said the territory’s death toll surpassed 11,000.
The search for safety across the besieged Gaza Strip has grown desperate as Israel intensified its assault on the territory’s largest city.
The Israeli army says Hamas’ military infrastructure is based amid Gaza City’s hospitals and neighborhoods, and that it has set up its main command center in and under the largest hospital, Shifa — claims the militant group and Shifa staff deny.
Israel has vowed to destroy Hamas after its deadly Oct. 7 surprise incursion, which killed at least 1,200.
More than 100,000 Palestinians have fled south over the past two days, according to Israel, but they still face bombardment and dire conditions. Reported strikes on or near at least four hospitals in northern Gaza overnight underscored the danger for tens of thousands more who had crowded into the facilities, believing they would be safe.

Lookner’s Agenda Free TV channel on Youtube is hooked in to some camera on the edge of Gaza.......tons and tons of machine gun fire and occasionally you hear what sounds like “dolly” or carrier wheels on tanks squeaking as they roll through the streets.
Ally of Paleostines at it again. Notice they have their hamas stooge as a writer and the a few others to clean it up a little, but still maintain the hamas ass kissing slant
It would seem doubtful in the extreme they would target a hospital otherwise.
There’s no upside to doing that. They have to dot every i and cross every t and they are still vilified. Occam’s razor rates this as likely true.
Yeah, pretty intense. The fact that there haven’t been any airstrikes in hours shows how restrained the Israelis are being. They are not just leveling neighborhoods like the Leftists are claiming.
AP can’t get past the first paragraph without twisting the facts. Gaza officials are Hamas. And somehow 11,000 dead is supposed to motivate people to pressure Israel to not finish eradicating Hamas.
If Israel was actually targeting civilians, there would be at least 10 times the number of Arab casualties in Gaza. This is ALL on Hamas for startling the war by mass murdering Israeli civilians, for building military infrastructure among or under civilian infrastructure and for preventing its own people from leaving a combat zone.
Gaza officials say 11,000 killed.
And they would never lie.
There’s been very heavy fighting over the last several hours with some big explosions mixed in with the rocket fire, artillery and heavy machinegun fire, but impossible to tell what’s going on.
Maybe they've flushed the rats out of their holes.
Today could be one of those days that makes the history books, what with the big Saudi Muslim summit and the Armistice Day pro-Hamas March in London. This heavy Israeli attack could be just the first important event of the day.
They no longer want to die for Hamas. They believe the Israelis when they say -—GTFO!
Vengeance is mine says God, the IDF and the IAF.

I saw a report where the Israeli soldiers were inside one of the hospitals and going through the tunnels.
And when Israel finishes of these savages it can show what they were doing in the hospitals and expose the lies their allies in the western hamas ass kissing press continually parrot
Instead of sheltering, how about turning around and getting rid of the Hamas supporters in your midst?
Like cockroaches and the IDF turned on a really bright light.
Excellent. Israel is NOT backing off. The murdering scum are hiding under the hospital? Then the hospital must give way.
FU rest of world. Especially, FU UN. What must be done must be done.
