Former President Trump knocked Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) as “disloyal” Sunday ahead of her expected endorsement of his GOP rival, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Trump said in a post on Truth Social that Reynolds’s decision to back DeSantis, which she is expected to announce at a rally Monday, would be the end of her career and that “MAGA” would never support her again

Good for you. I smell something foul since DeSantis is moribund and her endorsement is ridiculous.

As usual, Trump has to take it personally and respond with a personal attack.

What Gov. in Iowa does, will not make a difference in the race

We here in Iowa don’t need a New York real estate developer to tell us who should be our governor .
He’s totally delusional to say Gov Reynolds needed his support.
This guys incessant temper tantrums have gone on too long.
He needs to shut his mouth and focus on the good things he has done

The Gov. just wants to promote her name. She is not looking at anything else.

Maybe she wasn’t impressed with adding $8 trillion to the national debt and givng us toxic vaccines at warp speed while handing the presidency over to the HHS swamp?

He did it time and again while President, which fortunately worked for conservatives since the democrats decided it was good for them to oppose Trump.

It didn't work out so well when he pushed for and eventually got bump stocks banned. Thankfully, the Supreme Court is hearing Garland v. Cargill to resolve a Circuit split.

President Trump was all in for Red Flag laws without adequate due process until Mick Mulvaney and Brad Parscale told him he would wreck his standing with Republicans if he did so.

President Trump needs to be kept on a short leash regarding 2nd Amendment issues as he's shown a tendency to dilute that Amendment.

Trump’s personality is self-centered and fratricidal.

I don't see anybody currently running for President who is really worthy of the office.

As usual.

So ... Once again, I will be compelled to vote for the least repulsive candidate.

You probably don't like that.

Tough.

Or maybe she and DeSantis have a lot in common as governors who imposed draconian COVID restrictions in 2020 and are running around today pretending they didn’t.

This disloyal cry is childish. Is he the king demanding fealty from his subjects? A fragile ego is not a good quality in today’s world.

Nobody, Trump included, is saying she owes him loyalty in any legal sense. The comparison with feudalism is a poor one.

The reality is that Trump can only serve one more 4-year term, much of which will be spent fighting off the 91 felony indictments against him (regardless of the validity, they’re still a distraction). Whomever he picks as VP will have a marginal edge in 2028 - assuming they don’t get tarred by association - but he will be taking office as a lame duck. This whole candidate circus begins again the day after the 2024 election if he wins. Wouldn’t we be better off with a team that can serve for 8 years, and perhaps even 16?

Only Trump’s return to office will invalidate ( mitigate the damage ) all the spying and deep state election rigging. No Trump, no justice. If you can just move-on then it says a lot about you.

So you want desantis, who has been shown to be

a deliberate liar,

fiscally corrupt and misappropriates launders $83 million in campaign funds, as well as spends Florida taxpayer money on p.r. events to the tune of $19-32 million

is endorsed and supported by the swamp GOPe rino uniparty

to be president for 8 years?

First off, how would you ever know when he’s telling the truth or not?

Trump talks like a 1960’s movie.

I think he is as unhinged as Biden. Just what we need, another demented 80 year old running things.

But, folks like you think this is reality TV and he gives you a woody…so lets all go in for another geriatric patient.

Exactly right, Trump can’t keep his big mouth shut, especially with his lying.

This endorsement by a TRUE conservative for a TRUE conservative candidate in Gov. Reynolds is a very big deal, which is why Trump is freaking out over it.

DeSantis will win Iowa, because it’s the largest evangelical state in the country and they are “seeing the light” on Trump’s Democrat positions on our cultural war.

Let them go.

There seems to be a bunch of disloyal democrats on this post. They could be government agents too, but you can be both, just ask old Peter S. from the FIB!

No one is interpreting it in that way.

I can understand Trump’s frustration here. Since he started running for president back in 2015, he has relied on people who have let him down.

Nevertheless, the use of the word “loyalty” by Trump here is a poor choice. It harkens back to the old feudal lord/serf relationship. Trump did not mean that, of course. But that what the word implies. So a much better word is needed.

As I noted earlier, I’d categorize Gov. Reynolds’ remarks as unwise or unhelpful instead. And “stupid” might even be a better word.
