Even if I were fully vaccinated, I would admire the unvaccinated for standing up to the greatest pressures I have ever seen, including from spouses, parents, children, friends, colleagues, employers and doctors.
People who have been capable of such personality and courage, undoubtedly embody the best of humanity.
They are found everywhere, in all ages, all levels of education, all countries, and opinions.
They are of a particular kind; these are the soldiers that any army of light wishes to have in its ranks.
They are the parents that every child wishes to have and the children that every parent dreams of having.
They are beings above the average of their societies; they are the essence of the peoples who have built all cultures and conquered horizons.
They are there, by your side, they seem normal, but they are superheroes.
They did what others could not do; they were the tree that withstood the hurricane of insults, discrimination, and social exclusion.
And they did it even though they thought they were alone and believed they would be taking their stand alone.
Excluded from their families’ Christmas tables, they have never seen anything so cruel. They lost their jobs, they let their careers sink, and had no more money… but they did it anyway. They suffered immeasurable discrimination, denunciations, betrayals, and humiliation… but they continued.

Thanks, I’ll accept that compliment. I got called a moron more than once and many of my friends and family dismiss me as some kind of conspiracy theorist for refusing the shot.
I will say this though: What takes even more courage than refusing an unproven government shot is to declare one’s full support and admiration for President Trump, to insist the 2020 election was stolen, and to say the so-called “pandemic” and the so-called January 6 “insurrection” were false-flag government operations.
Bingo. The entire thing was engineered to allow them to steal that election.

It’s only a test if you don’t want the vaccination and you are being pressured against your will.
Some people are inclined to take whatever their doctor recommends - flu shots, etc.. for them there was no test of courage.
Trump is one of these, he just accepted the doctor’s recommendation - that’s not failing a test and it’s not being part of the scam.
Do I think he should have taken the shot? No way. Do I care that he and I disagreed about a vaccination? Not at all.
Why should I care about POTUS’s healthcare choices and opinions - who seeks medical advice from the President?
Now, if Trump had ever MANDATED the vaccines, or the masks, or the lockdowns… that I would have had a serious problem with.. but he didn’t.

I’m convinced that happened a lot more than people know. I know someone who was administering the vaccines and was too stupid to get herself and her husband a couple of cards and forego the jabs. Now he is having problems, but she isn’t (and she is the one with the comorbidities). Maybe she did get herself a fake card?
My brother and SIL both got the jab 1-1/2 years ago and today they are complaining of all sorts of ailments from ulcers to nodules on their lungs. It makes me wonder. It could be just natural or the jab with no way to really tell. My husband and I have not been jabbed and never plan to be.

Having lived 76 years, I have finally learned to trust God, to rely on his Word for advice on everything, and to “listen” to the Holy Spirit for guidance. Many times that guidance is like a strong intuition that seems to come from deep inside and sometimes (as in this case) contrary to popularly accepted wisdom.
I will admit that it was fairly easy to Turn down the jab (I refuse to call it a vaccine) as I am retired and now live in a rural area outside a tiny town in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It became somewhat harder when in the fall of 2020, I had to go spend a lot of time in a big city in another state to take care of my brother who lived alone and who was dying of late stage liver failure. It meant ignoring the danger of many trips to the hospital, Walmart for supplies, and hunting for a nursing home for him. But then I had no time for fear, and that trust in the Almighty I already mentioned, to keep me safe. Four months later my brother did go home to be with the Lord, and guess what they listed on his death certificate as cause (even though he had no symptoms of it) ….. Covid. Needless to say, my trust in the medical establishment and the government was by this time trashed.
I love the line in the article we are discussing that says, “You are made of the stuff of the greatest that ever lived, those heroes born among ordinary men whose lights shine in the dark.” It reminds me of a book I once read, “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr. It takes place close to the end of WWII as a blind girl and her father flee German-occupied Paris. They move in with a reclusive uncle who transmits clandestine radio broadcasts as part of the resistance.
The love and sacrifice of this father to his daughter, the heroes made by war of ordinary men, the seemingly miracle of the blind girl trapped in darkness bravely using the radio and sending packets of light between radio towers…..
all of this and a great deal more essentially is all the light we cannot see.

Let’s dial back the hero talk. You know how many shots I had to get over my 24 years in the Army? Most of us were in very tough circumstances. Get the shot or lose your job. Try raising 3 kids on no income with the economy in tatters. I applaud people that got the shot in order to take care of their family. If you didn’t get the shot, good for you too. Maybe your circumstances allowed no financial hits. You weighed the factors and made a choice. Let’s not pretend everyone had the same choice. After my anthrax vaccine before going to Iraq I lost feeling in the fingers of me left hand for 6 months. Good times. It sucked, but there was no refusing and the shot did exactly diddly squat. I lost 4 family members to Covid. None of them were vaxed. Their pre-existing conditions we they were heavy smokers and over 50. Would the shot have helped? Maybe. But I still would not have made the shots mandatory if I were in charge.

i’m elderly and suffer from serious heart issues and multiple autoimmune diseases, and having carefully studied a plethora of research papers published on pubmed as the experimental vaxes were being developed, and given that the Feds skipped 99.9999% of the normal vaccine testing protocol, i was positive that it would be a death sentence for me to be jabbed with an experimental gene therapy that was being massively coerced onto an ignorant public ...
it was my considered judgement that those at highest risk of morbid and mortal reactions to the experimental gene therapy were we elders with multiple serious chronic illnesses ... it turns out that young healthy athletic males were even at higher risk of said reactions ...

indeed ... my researches into the covid vax revealed that annual flu vaxes are nearly useless and that all of my doctors were ignorant or lying when (pre-covid, pre-research) they convinced me to take the shingles vax even though i had already had a case of the shingles ... never again ...
