The news media are there same. They see themselves as ‘movers and shakers’, molding and directing society to ‘think correctly’.
They want to distinguish themselves, while at the same time promoting policies and political constructs that prevent you from following your dreams, bettering yourself, and rising above the crowd. They want you to be a drone, be happy as a drone, and don’t make trouble. ‘You will own nothing and be happy, while we applaud ourselves from our mansions’.
