Dems will reject it out of hand … And GOP will cave after they get a strongly worded letter and pass a watered down version but tell their constituents they tried reaalllly hard...
Or, will they?

The GOP point is Yes, help our allies, with reductions in Biden’s extravagent spending in other areas.

I guess we’ll find out. I would rather they try than to just surrender before the fighting has even started in DC.

It’s a good message to say the time for fiscal irresponsibility is over. If you want to fund a war at least pay for it with other things. Where are your priorities?
If the IRS having armed agents is more important than funding a war in the middle east then don’t pass it. But here it is.

This will test the mettle of our new speaker — as well as his organizational and persuasive skills.
I am believing he is well equipped for the task and I’m speaking favor and success into his efforts, in Jesus’ name.

It’s a good gambit. Let the democrats deny support for Israel in her moment of dire peril, just so they can pay more tax collectors to harass the little guy. Works for me.

The GOP point is Yes, help our allies, with reductions in Biden’s extravagant spending in other areas. As well it should be. The blowout deficits owe far more to Democrat largess to it's welfare and organized crime constituencies than it does to aid to our geopolitical allies.

Will be interesting to watch how it plays out.

The House controls the power of the purse, and the new Speaker intends to use that power. Let Bidet veto it.
