Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis is falling in the GOP presidential primary polls, with one new poll showing him at 8%, tied for second place with former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, while former President Donald Trump is 47 points ahead of them both.
DeSantis' support is significantly lower than it was in January, when it was at 31% while Trump was at 43%. Since that point, the latest McLaughlin and Associates survey, conducted Oct. 22-26, shows that Trump is at a high of 55%.

Anyone interested in a pool as to when he’ll throw in the towel?
Nicki Haley thinks she’s going to be Trump’s veep. Dream on.
depends on how many delegates he has
a rino is usually forced on a conservative candidate under the threat of a brokered convention
they should all drop out and throw their support to Trump
and denounce the dems for politically persecuting Trump
instead they are staying in with single digits in the hope
that Trump is taken out by lawfare
Well, complimenting mike pence probably didn’t help.
Not until the money spigot gets turned off.
Single Digit Meatball
Wow. If DeSantis falls much further, he’ll be tied with me for the GOP nomination. And I only have the support of my girlfriend and possibly my cat.
As others here have noted, the time for mud-slinging is over. Like it or not, Trump has the nomination. He cannot be caught. So it’s now time for unity.
Trump is not afraid of a Brokered Convention.
Trump will pick who he wants. And that won’t be any of the Current
Clown Car Candidates.
With both DeSantis and Haley now in single digits they could meet and chat like people at a singles dating place.
Haley: My cat is named Mitt. Short for Mittens but I admit I had a crush of Romney at the time. He was named after the shape of Michigan.
DeSantis: I knew with my nose and well, my face, I’d have to work to get a date. I took up curling and then memorized all the speaking lines in the Star Trek movies. Nothing worked.
The Florida GOP is going to have to stage an intervention to get this idiot to go home. 🙄
SHE IS NOT ELIGIBLE-—AND SHE KNOWS THAT.
her eligibility isn’t her biggest issue ...
DeSantis is my gov and I’ll give him creds as gov but will ABSOF’INGLOUTLY not vote him for Prez. PERIOD! writing in Trump in defiance of the rinostitution. if this country is going to end up with a leftist government then at least it will be a REAL leftist and not a fake repukelican closet leftist.
Agreed. I suspect most of them are holding on until all the legal problems pile on Trump and in one way or another makes it impossible for him.
In my opinion it should be obvious that none of them have a chance, Trump included.
Between legalized voter fraud and demographic shifts, I am convinced we will likely never see another Republican president ever again.
Yes, Reagan had GHW Bush foisted on him, but what passes for conventional wisdom hardly ever applies to Trump. And he rarely forgives backstabbers, especially when it comes to who his veep will be.
Funny because I’ve been seeing this so called 8% for two months now, but on Friday it was announced that Trump is now spending a ton on negative ads specifically about RDS in Iowa, and the most diehard Trump followers on FR can’t stop posting about RDS. These are fake polls and the horse race narrative is merely a figment in your minds when the primary won’t start until early next year.
He never should have ran and now he’s destroyed his prospects for ‘28.
Mike Pence was the only Trumpet not going to court unless it is to testify why Trump thought he still won the election that he lost by 6 million votes
