In 2005 Israel voluntarily and unilaterally disengaged and withdrew from the Gaza Strip giving it outright to the Palestinians, who then screwed the pooch by electing the Hamas psychopaths for their leadership.
Hamas’ crimes against humanity hearken back Imperial Japan’s Rape of Nanjing and the Nazis’ engineered Holocaust.
All of the Hamas terrorists so richly deserve Nuremberg-like trials. Along with military and intelligence support, one of the roles America must take with Israel is to establish such a war crimes trial commission.
Any Hamas terrorists and architects of this outrage left alive and captured by the Israeli Defense Forces should be tried for crimes against humanity. Upon conviction they should be sentenced and promptly hanged, just like the Nazi war criminals.
Our civilization needs to make the words Never Again really mean Never Again.

Absolutely FALSE.
What they richly deserve is to be hanged, drawn, quartered, be fed their own bowels, then their bodies impaled and left on spikes to rot. Adolph Eichmann didn't deserve a trial either, yet the Israelis gave him one, because they felt obligated to demonstrate to the wider world that they are more civilized than the subhumans who seek to annihilate them.
Hark back, not hearken back.

Never heard of that source but I’m not surprised at anything anymore, after decades as a copyeditor watching the language get destroyed.
The source was the Oxford English Language Dictionary. Merriam-Webster concurs.

Well, when I clicked on your post, it said “Oxford Languages,” which I never heard of. Anyone can use the word “Oxford.”
I realize things may have gotten worse, since I left in-house book publishing 21 years ago. I knew things would get worse and not better.
You’re probably too young to remember when Winston cigarettes caused a major debate by saying “Winston Tastes Good LIKE a Cigarette Should.” No more major debates. The travesties just become part of the language.

Merriam-Webster says the first known use was 1900. O tempores! O mores!
A first known use? Please! I hear a lot of first known uses every day.
