The entire situation feels like a trap.
The cheesy invasion on hang gliders is straight out of Hollywood.
This was not a serious military operation. It was a psyop.
Hamas wants to draw Israel into a confrontation on their ground, where they have had years to prepare who knows what manner of booby-traps.
I do not believe that Israeli victory is a foregone conclusion.
There are things going on behind the scenes.
Not only that, Hezbollah is now attacking from other end of Israel, with full support from Iran. Does Israel have any allies in the region, or is it surrounded by Muslim countries? But Biden wants to add $110 Billion to the national debt immediately for the wars in Israel & Ukraine.
I think Americans are the ones who need foreign aid.
Great points. I spent almost 20 years in the ME and you are over the target.
That is why forcing all inhabitants of Gaza to leave one-half the Strip is genius. You kill all those found within a free fire zone; you have time to clear the landmines and boobytraps at your own speed. You are neutralizing the tunnels. You are gathering intel on Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Kuds Force, and likely on Iran.
Meanwhile the rats in the lower half of Gaza and Khan Younis are biting off their tails. The end play: Muslim nations that want nothing to do with Palestinians will have to spend billions to rebuild the Strip.
Don’t slap the tar baby.
We should learn that.
Good analysis $. The best statement is that there are things going on behind the scenes and that we don’t know jack.
This was not a serious military operation. It was a psyop It wasn’t meant to be a military op. They are not military, but are terrorists and have to be treated as such. Not a military operation, but a massacre used as a psy op as you suggest.

US special forces train the same tactics.
It’s light, field deployed, radar avoiding, dirt cheap.
True, Gaza is well-fortified and full of booby traps, and the Israelis will take a lot of casualties. But the entire Gaza Strip is slightly smaller than Bakersfield, Calif. and it's surrounded by Israel, Egypt, which is not very friendly, and the Med, which the Israeli navy controls, and it has no air force or anti-aircraft defenses.
The Bible says Israel will win.
I aGree with some of this. How could it take so long for the military to respond to a massive breach like this?
I’m thinking they thought having hundreds of troops on the border was sufficient.
I haven’t seen any reports of the numbers of jihadis, but if it were three thousand, then yeah, three thousand jihadis attacking 5-10 miles along a highway, anything they could find, that would be hard to mobilize a response force to, even in the US.
