One by one, GOP lawmakers—colloquially known as “moderates” or “institutionalists” or “establishment Republicans”—have recanted the unequivocal opposition to Jordan they expressed just days ago and thrown their support behind him.
The abrupt shift surprised Rep. Jared Huffman (D-CA), who said on Monday afternoon that he believed “a bipartisan compromise speakership was inevitable just 24 hours ago.”
“The responsible governing types in the Republican conference,” Huffman lamented, “just fold like a cheap suit every time.”
Noting Jordan’s leading efforts to contest the outcome of the 2020 election based on bogus voter fraud claims, Huffman said the fact that Jordan “is going to be holding the gavel in the institution that counts the electoral votes… that is terrifying, frankly.”
“It’s just stunning that all of these Republicans would go along with it,” he said.

That's why no court would rule on 2020 in the days/weeks after the election.
Of course there was fraud...major fraud...and it deserves to be investigated. But it won't help us...conservatives/Trump supporters...at all. At least not now.

The best way to see Jordan is a man whose conservative convictions will not let him back away from doing what’s right for American citizens. He’s driven by finding the truth and his wrestling background shows his dogged determination to reach that objective. Gaetz and he will make a fine tag team match.

Jordan no doubt understands moderate GOP members well enough to provide the necessary assurances. (1) He will not press them to vote against the desires of their district. (2) That Jordan and his leadership team will do their best to keep conservatives from hammering them for following the inclinations of their district. And (3), that he will provide material help toward keeping their seats at election time.
According to Liberty Daily, the phone lines to congress people are melting down as voters DEMAND that Jim Jordan win.

Actually, the new House counts the electoral votes, along with the Senate, and Kamala Harris, not Jim Jordan, will be holding the gavel (in her role as President of the Senate), but if Jared Huffman exposes his ignorance of the Constitution while wetting his pants - what else would you expect?
The Supreme Court made a huge mistake hearing that case, and we are still paying for it.
