WASHINGTON, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Hardline Republican Jim Jordan picked up support for his campaign to lead the U.S. House of Representatives on Monday as he aimed to bulldoze opposition within his own party by applying pressure in a series of public votes.
Several of Jordan's fellow Republicans said they would support his bid for House Speaker, whittling down his opposition from the 55 lawmakers who had voted against endorsing on Friday. It was unclear whether he would be able to unite his party enough to prevail in a floor vote expected on Tuesday.
"I feel real good about the momentum we have," Jordan told reporters. "We're going to elect a speaker tomorrow."

I predict Jordan will be elected Speaker but it will be very close with a few hold outs/protest votes.

When was the last time Al Reuters described, say, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, or Hillary Clinton, say, as a “hardline democrat?”

As for subpoenas, spending money carefully is the first priority. Joe Biden will never get convicted of a crime because he clearly is demented and can use the Pinochet defense. Impeaching him even if successful would only get us Commie-LA.

Jordan will need to rule the house with an iron fist just like Nancy Pelosi did during her reign of terror. He needs to crush his opposition. Instill fear and loathing among his critics. Offer helicopter rides to RINOs.
Just to really piss them off… If Jordan gets it, he should walk out with an 8 pound sledgehammer instead of a gavel.
And flip every Democrat in there a middle finger.
He can subpoena all he wants. With a corrupt DOJ it won’t go nowhere. A corrupt executive branch is not going to correct itself, and that is where the correcting should begin and end. House has no power to prosecute. I will gladly stand corrected if the facts are otherwise.
