Noa Argamani, 25, was kidnapped yesterday as a video showed her sitting on the back of a militant's motorcycle, with her outstretched arms pointing towards her helpless boyfriend, pleading for her life.
She screams 'Don't kill me! No, no, no' – but the gunman speeds off. Noa hasn't been seen since.
Her boyfriend, Avi Nathan, distraught and helpless, is left behind in the desert. He too is missing.
Widely shared on social media, the footage of Noa's kidnapping is almost too distressing to bear. 'Imagine what it is like for her family,' said her university roommate, Amir Moadi. They found out she had been snatched only when they chanced upon the footage online.
Last night it was also reported that Doron Asher, 34, and her two daughters, Raz, five, and Aviv, three, were among Israeli civilians taken hostage by Hamas gunmen and held captive in Gaza.

Heard stories about Israeli soldiers who were refusing military service to pressure their conservative elected government to submit to Israel’s dictatorial, leftist courts. Hope they have now reported for duty.

It's happening over there. We're just seeing a preview of our near future.
To those soldiers I would wish them well, and if God is willing, their country will survive so that they can continue to support their leftist courts. They will have to fight for it first though.

You make a fair point. When Netanyahu congratulated Biden, it made Biden’s fraudulent election seem that much more legitimate. So, yes. Netanyahu‘s action was bad for America.
But it was, on balance, good for Israel. Netanyahu probably figured out that Biden was going to be sworn in. It was a done deal. Better make the best of it.
I will not give a pass to the American media and the Republican Party for ignoring the fraud (see my tagline). But I will give Netanyahu a pass for playing his cards the best he could.
Because of the variables involved, I have no definitive strategy. But at basic, I would use deadly force to protect my family.

For much the same reason they didn't detect and preempt countless other attacks since 1948. Defending oneself from all attacks by an enemy that wants to die is an impossible task.
On Sept. 18-23, 2023, the UN General Assembly met in New York. The U.S. greatly criticized
Israel for settlement construction on the West Bank and refusing to divide the Promised Land.
After the attack, Biden’s office of Palestinian Affairs set out an ill advised X-tweet stating -
“We unequivocally condemn the attack of Hamas terrorists and the loss of life that incurred.
We urge all sides to refrain from violence and retaliatory attacks. Terror and violence solve nothing.”
Biden essentially saying Israel should surrender to this level of terror.
The X-tweet was later removed.
From what I have seen the abductions have three main purposes: 1) The obvious — terrifying Israelis by personalizing the conflict;
2) Guaranteeing massive media coverage, replete with media-faves like pics of pretty girls and distraught families/children; and,
3) Placing the hostages inside the extensive tunnel systems where Hamas hides their missiles and military operations, thus causing Israel not to deploy the ground penetrating bombs that wiped them out in the past.
The Israelis certainly aren’t going to bargain.
They’re also likely using radio and cell phone encryption.
