Chaos erupted at an all-night nature party near Kibbutz Re’im close to the Gaza Strip as the first rockets were fired by Hamas on Saturday morning. Eyewitnesses said the rockets were quickly followed by gunshots fired into the crowd even as hundreds of partygoers attempted to flee the site.
Hamas launched a major assault on Israel early Saturday with thousands of rockets fired and an unprecedented assault by gunmen on border communities, including the music festival. At least 200 Israelis have been confirmed killed and over 1,400 wounded by Saturday evening.

There is little doubt that Israel will have its revenge. The destruction and death toll in Gaza will be immense. Yet however severe the punishment, this brutal attack underscores the fundamental existential threats to Israel that will remain when this current paroxysm of violence ends. Despite all the social and economic accomplishments achieved by Israel which also raised the standard of living for Palestinians, the Arabs, despite the agreements, posturing and diplomatic accommodations will never come to accept the legitimacy of Israel and grant a true peace. This attack was made largely with conventional weapons. As the world’s militaries noting the new realities made evident by the Ukraine war develop even more technologically sophisticated stealthy drones, missiles and artillery with pinpoint guidance, the terrorists will become even more deadly and effective.
Also most Americans, despite 9/11, do not realize the depth of the loathing and hostility most in the Arab world feel against America. While Israel and Israelis will be the prime target of whatever sophisticated weaponry the terrorists obtain, they would like nothing better to target America and its citizens as well. Rational, patriotic Americans cannot feel safe when the fool Biden Administration releases $5 billion dollars to the Iranian regime that funds and arms terrorists. The Biden cabal claims that the money can only be spent on “humanitarian” purposes. Yet if an entity has a $5 billion dollar account , there are innumerable bankers around the world that will lend it huge amounts of cash to use for whatever purpose it wants.
