Wednesday, Fox News Channel host Sean Hannity revealed he was backing Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) as his pick to fill the Speaker of the House void. According to Hannity, Jordan, who has served as House Judiciary Committee chairman since January, is best suited to fill the vacancy left by now-former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who was ousted after a motion to vacate passed the House of Representatives.
“[I]t was also — and I know this for a fact — sadly, it was also personal,” Hannity said of McCarthy’s ouster. “You know what? It’s business. It shouldn’t be personal, but now there will be a new speaker. We know that both House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, they now both are officially in. They are running to be speaker. Let me tell you where I am tonight. Make no mistake: I like Steve Scalise. I think he’s a great leader. I think he’s a really good guy. He’s a patriot.”

Yeah, if everyone’s afraid of the Freepbullies then the place becomes just another echo chamber. Fwiw, i’m not a big fan of Hannity, he doesn’t seem to have a rudder. His endorsement doesnt really mean very much to me. I could be wrong, but I get the feeling that he’d spew univision talking points if they were put in front of him.
I never been a fan but he really lost me when he started doing GM commercials again in 2009 after the “Government Motors” bail out in 2008. I think even he realized how absurd it was for him to be reading GM commercials after spending months chastising the bail out.
Lots of people talk the talk. I more concerned about who is doing.
Hannity is a bigmouth, he never lets his guests talk.
What is likely wrong, in your opinion? Please be specific.
One of the main reasons for part one of my tagline. Rid ourselves of the curse of the career politician.
I’m beginning to worry about Jordan if Hannity is endorsing him. Hannity who was pushing for Dr. Oz for PA senator, who eventually lost to a turnip.
