Gaetz has long been my favorite Congressman, as my posting history shows, but it appears this was a bad mistake, for many reasons. The result will be the Democrats back in control, and more Omnibus bills as far as the eyes can see. Might take a couple years for that reality to take place, but it will I bet. Gaetz just destroyed whatever momentum the new Republican Congress had. And yes there was some momentum in our favor.

Gaetz has always been a clown in Congress. This is the guy who insisted in early 2021 that he had lined up enough Republican House members to get Lizard Cheney dumped from her GOP House leadership position.

She kept her post by a 145-61 vote.

You are terribly wrong. Gaetz has now offered the Republicans a chance — perhaps their last chance as a viable political party — to name a true conservative to take charge of the House of Representatives. There was little difference between McCarthy and Ryan or Boehner. The clock is ticking.
