McCarthy has been retired.
Patrick McHenry is acting Speaker
Told my wife just this same thing again today. Nobody has the will and if they did, not the means to repair this fluster cluck.
BRING BACK NEWT!
Hopefully Matt Gaetz will keep up the pressure on the next Speaker.
Good to know
Yeah. What happened to this place? Shouldn’t we be happy or something? Geesh.
Amen
MTG? No...Not enough seniority. Not a border-stater.
Roy Chip or somebody else from one of the border states who’s been around the block.
I think that having a shady past is a prerequisite for both political parties because those people are easily controlled. If they do what they are told they get rich if they deviate they are destroyed.
It’s also how the Church of Scientology works, you cannot leave the Church or else they’ll divulge all the secrets you told them.
NO NEWT!
He’s a swamp creature.
How about Rep. Elise Stefanik?
She’s the House Republican Conference Chair.
She was the one who made all the difference in Trump’s impeachment hearings.
You say, “Gaetz may be right on the principle...” Gosh, a principled Republican, and to your way of thinking not worth support.
Roy Chip = Chip Roy. Tired.
I want to buy a home in Matt Gaetz’s district, so I can vote for him
“Jim Jordan comes to mind. He gave a speech to keep McCarthy as Speaker so he doesn’t appear to be disloyal. Remember a good leader gets the job done and keeps the group together. McCarthy failed that test.”
************
Jordan is a brilliant and capable guy but his skills and talents seem to me to be more geared toward investigative, legal and analytical work. Not sure of his ability to lead people to move a big agenda forward. In my experience, the best leaders are team builders, visionaries and motivators that focus the organization on high payoff things. Just my two cents.
Can I get fries with that?
Nice Church. lol

Interim Speaker Patrick McHenry agressively slams the gavel as he and 200+ other Republicans fume over Kevin McCarthy’s ousting.
Where was this anger as millions of migrants poured over the southern border?
Where was this anger as US debt rises over $33T?
Where was this anger when the FBI rounded up Trump supporters and threw them in prison?
Where is this anger as the “justice” system tries to take out Biden’s top opponent in 2024?
They sit back and do nothing as our country burns but fume when their buddy loses his Speaker role.
We sinker have a two part parliament now. This is just like Israel. 8 votes can break a majority and render a prime minister moot. I actually think MAGA is currently a minority party. Time for it to split off and call it a day. They will never hold a majority. So no chance of a MAGA speaker here. American at the district level chose a very slim minority. But here wheee there are only trumpers and never trumpers the the majority being he former, there is simply a faction. Break off. Run as a party and have at it. Trump is simply unelectable. Remember it’s not the 40% on the right and the 40% on the left it’s the 20% in the middle. Trump backed candidates have taken a shellacking recently. There was a special election just a couple weeks ago, Trump candidate lost bigly to quote PDJT Even trump was not in favor of this.
The point is Trump was great. His policies surprised me. But he simply cannot get out of his own way. Take for example his trial. 80% of the case gets tossed. That all he had to say. But he always lets the left back in. He badmouths the freaking clerk or court reported and wham — gag order which most will see as making him more unelectable. If Trump could stop snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, then he would be fine. But his mouth engages faster than his brain and he cries poor me.
If he is nominated, here comes the most radical president in history. President Newsome is something we had better get used to because it’s coming hard and fast.
