You know what you remind me of? My friends who live in nearly all white communities and think they have an accurate account of black people. They see "them" on T.V. ransacking businesses, twerking in the middle of the street, and lighting buildings afire.
Problem is, that's the only interaction they have with black people. They don't know the forklift driver a couple of doors down who hasn't missed a day of work in 40 years and would give you the shirt off his back. They don't know the house keeper across the street who calls the police when she sees suspicious people looking at your house. The security guard who's working into his 70s to put his grand children through college.
But, I get it, you read the papers, and your undefeatable ignorance and misappropriated confidence can take the place of actual experience. Not the way I go about my business, but it's your choice.
