Baby boomers, especially younger members, comprise a growing percentage of homeless people.
Many are struggling to keep up with skyrocketing rents while pandemic aid dwindles.
A shortage of subsidized housing is compounding the problem.
While housing costs in the US continue to skyrocket and homelessness has become a crisis, no group appears to be getting hit harder than young baby boomers.

Infant Boomers. Lol
“Living solely off Social Security means there wasn’t a plan.”
Exactly. I can’t even imagine trying to live off Social Security. I don’t see how it could be done.
Raising hand.
I’m worried biden’s spending is going to bankrupt most of our savings
Back in the 70s-80s, we had the Reagan revolution to lift us out of the “malaise”.
Inflation is eating into savings at an alarming rate now, with no end in sight.
I guess I will probably die in the harness. Biden has ruined my plans. Thanks Demonrats.

Social Security was not designed nor was ever meant to be anyone’s sole source of support. I’d be homeless and hungry trying to live on just Social Security.
Yes.
So for those without large blood families the best thing is to become deeply embedded with a small to medium sized faith community who truly become one’s “extended family”.
IOW “megachurches” will generally not fill that void.
I agree. I like country churches myself for that reason that you can actually become part of a community.
Megachurches are basically an abomination in my view. When a church grows over a certain amount, the members should look at planting a new church.
Amen.
Ministry and evangelism are relational: “Come and see”
Or in the case of the Samaritan woman, “Come, see than man who has told me everything that I have ever done”
That’s rough. I hope something comes along to help you turn the corner.
If "reporting" continues to be purity boolshit, it is OUR DUTY, or mine, at least, to point out the fallacy.
This absolutely stupid article makes no sense about people that did not invest in their future, but paid their way INTO their future, only to learn they did it wrong . . . . . probably because there was no one (a father, for instance) to advise them, or they just plain ignored (or never went to in the first place) the advice that we REAL baby boomers have been trying to say and educate for 30 or more years.
Both halves of the couples lose although men lose worse. All the planning in the world doesn't help when agents of the State collude with your ex to take half of all you own and run you into debt paying child support and alimony.
It's not a coincidence that Florida, a state heavily occupied with retirees, is ending lifetime alimony.
Assuming they have their act together (which if you don't, they probably don't.)
Born 1946-1964 (59-77 years old)
Yeah. 1964 is considered the last year of the Boomer generation.
“Megachurches are basically an abomination in my view.”
Definitely.
3 of my kids were born in those years……they all are longtime homeowners.
