Prince of Bavaria Calls ‘Low-Cut,’ Cleavage-Bearing Oktoberfest Costumes ‘Cultural Appropriation’

The Prince of Bavaria complained about the effect 'cultural appropriation' has had on Oktoberfest, bemoaning the fact that the annual German festival is 'just about wearing a costume to get drunk in.'
While speaking to a local radio station, Luitpold Rupprecht Heinrich said that the focus on spectacle has caused Oktoberfest to lose its way.
"When I see Chinese-made folk costumes made of plastic, pseudo-costumes with tight dirndls, then the whole thing becomes a carnival," Heinrich said, per the Daily Mail. "We all talk about cultural appropriation today. Here it's happening to us Bavarians!"
The great-grandson of the last Bavarian king is not alone in his concerns about how Oktoberfest has changed. Many traditionalists feel what is supposed to be a celebration of Bavarian culture has now become an excuse to dress up and drink.
"If the whole thing is just about wearing a costume to get drunk in...you lose a lot of culture and tradition in the process," Heinrich said.
The first-ever Oktoberfest in 1810 was a celebration of the wedding between Prince Regent Ludwig of Bavaria, the later King Ludwig I, and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen.

The old TV host Jack Paar in the 1950s knew that the having the top star in the headlines for her figure Jayne Mansfield scheduled for his show was a chance for great ratings.
As she came out he announced to the audience:
“Here they are, Jayne Mansfield.”

If you want to preserve your immortal soul, NEVER Google "Jordan Carver yoga pants"...
There are some who believe that God created yoga pants in anticipation of the birth of Jordan Carver.

I was fortunate enough to attend 3 Oktober fests when I was stationed in the Army in Germany back in the late 1970's, great times, the beer and the Fräuleins were incredible!

The prince would get far more traction by complaining that Americans screw up Oktoberfest with Bud Light.

So what's wrong with a carnival? I suspect that Bavarians can sell their own folk costumes too. Maybe Germany needs to put tariffs on Chinese made dirndls to solve this problem? I am sure that 200 years ago when German women were actually having children and nursing them naturally in public that more cleavage was on display in public at such festivals.

This was my Beer Wench last time I was in Munich at the Hofbrau house partying underneath Adolfs room, where he plotted conquest of Europe.
Here was the carnage at the end of the evening...
The guy in the pic is some Italian cyclist who wanted to drink with us to meet some beautiful American women.

Speechless with admiration.
OTOH, I don't want to think about what that lovely lass will look like in 30 years, but the good news is that I'll be long dead by then and it won't matter to me.

“Appropriation”?
LOL. Sure. Not one of these girls is capitalizing on gorgeous good looks, youth, beauty, and sex appeal. Not one of them knows how good she looks. They are all just accidentally leaning forward. Not one of them is “appropriating” these charms.

I've seen commercial paintings advertising Schuetzenfest (German shooting carnivals) going back to the 19th century that show buxom girls. Get a life!
