It Ain't Easy-- Long John Baldry
From the album by the same name. This album IMHO, is a much underrated album. Produced by Elton John (side A) and Rod Stewart (side B). Both men are helping out their old friend and the man who helped to start both of their careers. The 'John' in Elton John is a tip of the hat to Long John Baldry.

This song provides one of the two times I enjoyed hearing Yoko Ono singing the lead of any song all the way through.
She is excellent on this song. Yoko’s world weary, one could say “softly harsh” delivery is exactly what a song like this called for.
The other time I enjoyed one of her songs was also on this album. It was called “Beautiful Boys”
