During an interview aired on Tuesday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) stated that while the media was slow to pick up the Hunter Biden story, “my God, the best they can do right now is a simple gun charge of a felony on a simple form” and that he has “absolute trust and faith in the system to advance the cause of justice.”
Newsom said, “I’m for accountability wherever you find it, absolutely. And by the way, was the media quick on that story? They were not. And you’ve been very pointed about that and you’re right about that. And we also as Democrats need to own that. But my God, the best they can do right now is a simple gun charge of a felony on a simple form?”

I think you meant “the absolute least the DOJ can do that is relatively unconnected to his father and can allow both Hunter and the DOJ to refuse Congressional subpoenas because of the ongoing prosecution”. They couldn’t charge the tax evasion, money laundering and failure to file the foreign agent paperwork because all point back to Joe.

I read that they decided on the three federal gun charges because those were to only charges from the “catalog” that could be dealt with without involving Joepedo.

Being a moron with good hair was enough for Kerry to get the nomination in 2004 (and he would have won if the Democrats had just stuffed more ballot boxes in Ohio), so it could work for Newsom.
