Many cars are like this now. My newest car is a 2018 Subaru and getting the windshield replaced was a big ordeal thanks to the collision avoidance/lane change cameras. Between taxes and other expenses, I'm done buying new cars and just going to keep getting my existing ones fixed up.
We get our windshields replaced in Florida for free. Another reason to live in the best state in the country.
Exactly, I have a 1998 Toyota Corolla and 2008 Toyota Highlander I am driving now to my grave. It’s only going to get worse. 1) cars will become like appliances are now, so expensive to fix it makes more sense to buy a new one; that’s what dealers want; 2) the average mechanic won’t be able to fix the cars so you’ll be stuck going to the dealer or high end shops and pay outrageous prices; 3) it will become like farm machinery is now; they’ll claim everything is covered by intellectual property and even if you can fix the car it will be a breach of the IP to fix it yourself; you’ll have to go to the man for repairs; 4) new gas cars will be banned by the regime in a few years and that’s the only option you’ll have. Cherish your old car and drive it forever!! However, I assume at some point the FBI will say driving an old gas car is a sign someone is a subversive that needs to be prosecuted.
I had an 18 sub. Lowest modle. No cameras except the back one.
Now I think I have my forever vehicle
Si senor. It is a mucho grande idea!
