Trump says Biden is "not too old" to be president
Axios ^ | 09/14/2023 | Erin Doherty

Posted on 09/14/2023 1:02:23 PM PDT by thegagline

Former President Trump said in an interview airing Thursday that President Biden is "not too old" to be president — but that he's "incompetent."

***Trump, 77, is just a few years younger than Biden, 80, and has avoided criticizing Biden's age.

He's instead focused on Biden's "mental acuity," even as age has emerged as a top concern for voters ahead of 2024. Driving the news: "Age is interesting because some people are very sharp and some people do lose it, but you lose it at 40 and 50, also," Trump said on SiriusXM's "The Megyn Kelly Show."

"But no, he's not too old at all. He's grossly incompetent." Trump added that there are several world leaders who "were phenomenal in their 80s." "You know, there's great wisdom if you're not in a position like him. But if you go back 25 years, he wasn't the sharpest tack either," Trump said. What they're saying: "President Biden has succeeded where Donald Trump failed at every turn, and that evidently isn't sitting well with the former president," Biden campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa said in a statement.

"President Biden's wisdom and experience has led to the most consequential presidency in decades, while Donald Trump continues to be haunted by his own historic failures." The big picture: Biden, the oldest sitting president, would be 86 at the end of a second term, as his age has become a focal point among voters.

77% of adults think Biden, 80, is too old to effectively serve for four more years, with 89% of Republicans holding that view and 69% of Democrats, an AP-NORC poll out last month found.

Just over half of all adults think that Trump is too old to effectively serve another term, with 71% of Democrats holding that view and 28% of Republicans.

I’d say that Biden isn’t “grossly incompetent” but rather very competent at destroying this country at the behest of his Chinese overlords.

It figures you’d post trash from Axios. Integrity is not something you have any of.

Well, Trump didn’t want to talk about age, because Trump himself is getting up there in years too.

Consider the comment again. He is saying that 80 is not too old to be President, if you’re still competent, which Biden is not.

Biden’s problem is not age.

He has never been competent, and he is not the one calling the shots.

It hasn’t occurred to folks that President Trump wants the Democrats to attempt to run this clown 🤡 again.

Mt guess is that they’ll pull Hillary out of storage.

Trump is no fool, and knows that the Democrat machine has turned on Biden, and wants him out of the race.

Trump knows that he’d do better against Biden than a lot of potential Democrat rivals, and is at the same time, hilariously trolling Biden and his team “it’s not your age that’s the problem, it’s that your a decrepit addlepated fool, and always have been...”

My seat in the front row of the peanut gallery would have played it thusly:

“Yes, he’s too old.”

....but you’re soon to be 80 ....what’s the difference ?

“Listen to one of Joe’s speeches, rally’s and compare ‘em with mine. End of discussion. It’s clear that he’s old and spent. mentally and physically. I am neither.”

Biden is not too old to be President.

Biden is too demented to be President.
Biden is too perverted to be President.
Biden is too mendacious to be President.
Biden is too Marxist to be President.
Biden is too corrupt to be President.

He could be 80, 85, even 90 and be none of these, and sufficient in both strength and character to be President. Since he is all of the above, he is the worst possible person to be President, and that would be true if he were 40 or 60 instead of 80.

Trump will beat Biden like a rented mule, he needs Biden in the race. Of course the Dems now this, and it’s why they will replace him.

Unless Biden drops dead between now and December, he is the nominee. If he drops dead after then, Harris, who is an unlikable bimbo and polling worse than Biden, will be the nominee.

Biden is their only chance, and the easiest argument against him Trump can’t make because of his own advanced age.

That’s more how I feel.
It’s not the years. It’s the mental acuity. Biden is not fit for the presidency because of his senility. Not his age.
Well, that and his demented politics.
