Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis — famous for their roles on "That '70s Show" — issued a public apology on social media after it was revealed they wrote letters of support on behalf of Danny Masterson to the judge presiding over the sexual assault trial.
Kutcher and Kunis, who have been married since 2015, starred alongside Masterson in the hit sitcom show that ran from 1998 to 2006. On Saturday, the two appeared together in a post shared to social media, claiming to be sorry for issuing statements that apparently caused pain to Masterson's victims.

The funny thing is that Kutcher’s letter was pretty lame. He said that Masterson was “punctual.” It appeared to me that he was asked to write something…and he tried to be as benign as possible.
He did not ask for a reduced sentence. He did not excuse the crime.
It was not a bright move to write the letter to start, but the letter wasn’t that great. I certainly would not be holding it up and shouting, “See, this says I am a great guy…I showed up for work…20 years ago!”

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kubis are compromised. There are skeletons in their closet that are well known by certain folks including Danny Masterson and at least one of his rape victims.
Mr. Kutcher has a thing for underage girls. He has committed statutory rape. In addition, Ms. Kunis 'slept' her way to stardom as an underage girl.
Chrissie Bixler (a Masterson rape victim) knew Ashton and Kunis and has stated that there is more than meets the eye regarding the history of the two of them and Danny.
[The stupid part is apologizing. They knew the guy and I guess they wrote something supporting him at sentencing, which didn’t do much anyway.
If you considered him a friend and wanted to send in a letter for him, suck it up.

In showbiz, producers care. They’re betting tens or hundreds of millions on a star’s bankability. Complete strangers to the star decide whether they want to watch him in a movie based on his rep. Public contrition, even if insincere, helps.
