Trump vows to crush federal censorship with new appointees, executive order if elected in 2024

Former president takes on "federal machinery" of censorship of political speech. He also urges Congress to probe evidence of ballot application fraud scheme uncovered by Michigan law enforcement.

Former President Donald Trump is vowing to dismantle the federal machinery built by the Biden administration to censor political speech in America, saying he will appoint new leaders of agencies that have engaged in silencing free speech. He also said he would sign an Executive Order banning government employees from participating in projects that infringe the First Amendment.

The 45th president made the comments Thursday during an interview on the "Just the News, No Noise" television show when asked about the Biden administration’s well-documented and now-failed efforts to create a government disinformation office. He also highlighted President Biden's letting federal agencies like Homeland Security and the FBI work with, if not coerce, private parties to pressure Big Tech to censor Americans.

Federal Judge Terry Doughty of the District Court for the Western District of Louisiana ruled on July 4th in Missouri v. Biden that such activities targeting Americans violated the Constitution, and he imposed an injunction banning government agencies from having contact with Big Tech firms designed to restrain political speech.

The administration appealed the injunction to the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, where Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod said that the Biden administration's efforts to persuade social media companies to remove, throttle and suppress purported misinformation on COVID-19, Hunter Biden's laptop and elections "reminded her of a mafia movie."

“The best thing is, you put the right people at the head of those agencies,” Trump told Just the News when asked how to address the censorship problem. “…I know we have some great people in our country. So I think that's very important. Yes, I would do executive orders also."

Yep. If he does get close, well the CIA did Kennedy, too.

So laughable. You think Trump can use the 1st Amendment to stop the Deep State? Did that stop the CIA from doing Kennedy?

I agree with bert. Trump has some courage, no doubt, but backed down when it REALLY counted.

“the first time around he didn’t realize just how bad things were.”

So when did he figure it out—after he got stabbed in the back the first ten times, the first hundred times, the first thousand times....?

Lol.

When the assassins come for you just wave the Constitution at them—it will stop them dead in their tracks.

Lol.

“things look very different than the in person view of the inside”

Seriously.

Freepers knew how corrupt the Deep State was—from the outside, from the inside, from every direction—long before President Trump took office.

The excuses are just silly—he made big promises, had some great successes and some major failures—but claiming ignorance of the opposition—no chance—that is an excuse for the failures.

As another poster noted in the modern era the CIA assassinated one President and destroyed another with scandal, and anyone with an IQ over room temperature was well aware of both...and that was just one federal agency...a lot more where they came from...

I said, "the First Amendment will stop the Deep State"?

You can't be that dumb. Try again.

NO they didn't actully. No one did. We had to get to Trump to wake up and realize how corrupt GWB and Cheney were. The whole WOT was an inside the beltway boondoggle of such perposterous proportions no one would have believed it at the time. I am guessing they didn't even know how corrupt they were. They were helping a few friend while sorting out the middle east which was an utter lack of self-awareness or humility.

I believe Trump backed down when he didn't have the political capitol to beat the Deep State.

Instead he chose to be the best president on all the other things, to build political capitol based on his performance and to then go after the Deep State.

That's when they stole the election from him.

I agree. the Deep State is widespread and very corrupt. We have folks here who still think Trump could somehow have waved a magic wand and removed the Deep State in one term.

One of Clinton’s first acts was to fire and replace all the DOJ Attorneys for each state. Trump needs to do the same.

Let me spell out my post slowly.

Everyone who at all “aware” knew the CIA assassinated JFK and RFK—and President Trump had Roger Stone (who had written a book on the subject) as an adviser.

There is no way President Trump was unaware of the history of the assassination and the coverup.

Equally important was the fact that nobody—I repeat nobody—from the CIA was ever punished in any way as a result. We even know the names of some of the folks involved from the CIA with Howard Hunt’s deathbed confession:

https://www.amazon.com/Bond-Secrecy-Watergate-Conspirator-Howard/dp/1936296837

The book was written in 2012—and many Trump advisors were very familiar with it.

Then let us move on to Richard Nixon. It was well known by anyone with the slightest knowledge of the Watergate scandal that the CIA led Nixon to slaughter in dozens of ways—including botching the burglaries, having one of their Mockingbird reporters “break” the story and having one of their guys leak the WH tapes.

Nobody from CIA was punished—again!

Then let us move forward in time—to 1996.

William Colby, former Olympic swimmer—found dead in the Potomac River in a blatant assassination and coverup.

I can keep going forward in time—into corners Freepers will not like.

However, what matters is that Roger Stone and others were well aware of all of this history and Swamp Games that were waiting for the incoming President Trump.

They warned him that the Deep State was treacherous, had a death grip on the mass media, and made up the rules as they went along—if he chose not to listen that is on President Trump.

Wait, what?

The Deep State is very Deep. That's Trump's fault?

Trump siad he knew the Deep State was Deep. It's just deeper than he imagined.

And, so what?

Nobody, and I mean nobody has ever challenged the Deep State like Trump.

Yet, here. you are pinning something "on Trump".

The CIA types don’t take threats lightly.

Chucky Schumer should hang for being an accessory:

Trump represents an existential threat to the Deep State and might be able to save our republic.

Name one of the midgets waiting in the wings that represents an existential threat to the Deep State capable of saving the republic.

I am not interested in political calculus. Elections mean nothing if your only choice is among midgets.
