Clickbait story.
For millennia, they’ve been trying to find the “right way” to execute a convict.
But there is no right way to do the wrong thing.
I think you have that backwards. Especially when it comes to the Death Penalty.
There’s no wrong way to do the right thing.
I believe Nitrogen will create the same symptoms as "The Bends", experienced by SCUBA divers after ascending too fast.
They always have the “right” drugs for euthanasia patients.
Forcing. They’re really trying hard to make this sound awful. I worked at a company that had a huge dry nitrogen tank that was plumbed through a classified area with controlled access. Not airtight, just a cypher lock door. A leak in a pipe filled the room with dry nitrogen. Someone came into the room and found everyone there dead. They had no idea it was happening. Apparently, the guy who opened the door realized instantly and didn’t succumb himself. But there’s no pain and no warning.
One of the nicest ways to go. Much nicer than any other way used.
Interesting, isn’t it?
The lack of oxygen will cause the executed to pass out.
How come they can put our pets “to sleep” humanly, but not people?
Tell the red diaper doper baby anti-death penalty freaks that it’s okay, our atmosphere is 78% nitrogen. A little more won’t hurt.
Why not just dunk then in LIQUID Nitrogen?
From 80% to 100%. Is it very noticeable other than you passing out?
I like this type of execution. I would seal the death row cells and not tell the condemned which night would be their last.
A semiconductor facility I worked at lost two techs in a fixture clean room. They use air fed masks to avoid inhaling the potentially toxic residue. The line had been purged with nitrogen earlier but the air was never reconnected. Bottom line, they just went to sleep. Never new what happened to them.
“ But there is no right way to do the wrong thing.”
Executing this sack of excrement isn’t a wrong thing.

But first, they should force him to breathe Helium. That way, his last words will sound funny as hell.
