His positions may have changed over time, but he definitely knows the interests of those now supporting him. I suppose the concern is the quality of true desire and the ability to commit to it despite the political pressure to do otherwise. This is were a history of consistent rhetoric and actions helps.

Cold conditions kill people and end civilizations.
Hot conditions generally usher in good times for all.
Global Warming is, if anything, a good thing.
And the whole notion of “climate change” instead of “global warming” is, I think, an admission from the Left that things go up and things go down and there’s just no telling what is going to happen or what is causing anything to happen. The idea of “climate change” is so very vague that it tells me that it’s a meaningless political ploy and has everything to do with communism and nothing to do with climate.

The climate change agenda wasn't just $profit$ in the beginning. The radical neo-Malthusians who invented the whole scam wanted (and still want) the population of the Earth to collapse by 90%. Collapsing Western technology was/is just a means to that end.
