Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) said on Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that Donald Trump was disqualified from holding office because a majority of senators voted to convict the former president on an impeachment charge of inciting an insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
Raskin said, “We’ve been saying all along that section 3 of the 14th Amendment presents a clear and unequivocal statement that anyone who has sworn an oath of office, and not just a president but members of Congress and others who hold federal office, who engage in insurrection or rebellion, having sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic, could never serve again in federal or state officve. This is added after the Civil War as a general constitutional principle. We have to abide by it.”

They cannot have someone that holds back the Satanic agenda of the Dems/WEF. Dystopican Communist social credit score stuffed into cities. Raskin is the personification of the ugly evil that lives in DC.
Yep, a slight whiff of fear in the air coming from the Dem side.
Lol.
Show me the law that the majority of the Senate voting precludes from high office!!
Democrats are fascists, and fascists just make it up as they go along. See 1930’s Germany for references.
With a father like Raskin, it’s no wonder that his son offed himself.
Where does the constitution say that?
So Jamie, what will you do if he’s elected President?
Since Lawrance and his tribe unleashed this nonsense on the country a week or so ago, it has spread like wildfire with the aid of Ratskin, Schitt, and others such as Sununu. They realize that their effort to knock Trump out of the race via their lawfare-media conspiracy is failing, they are shifting gears to this BS. They are itching to bring the country to a full-blown Constitutional Crisis. This is just another escalation in the effort to “get Trump”.
During his interview with Tucker Carlson the other day, Carlson sited the mass demonstration, impeachment, and indictments, as an escalation, and asked Trump if he thinks that they just might resort to killing him. I have no doubt that they will attempt this if it appears likely that Trump will vanquish their puppet occupying the White House. Trump better have his own security because the Secret Service can’t really be trusted since we know that at least some of them acted as moles at Mar a Lago, just there to spy on him.
“Unbelievable, what we have to go through, what we have to go through and you have to get your people to fight. If they don’t fight, we have to primary the hell out of the ones that don’t fight. You primary them. We’re going to let you know who they are, I can already tell you, frankly.”
“Mike Pence is going to have to come through for us. And if he doesn’t, that will be a sad day for our country because you’re sworn to uphold our constitution. Now it is up to Congress to confront this egregious assault on our democracy.”
“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators, and congressmen and women. We’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them, because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”
“We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard. Today we will see whether Republicans stand strong for integrity of our elections, but whether or not they stand strong for our country, our country. Our country has been under siege for a long time, far longer than this four-year period.”
“Please support our Capitol Police and Law Enforcement. They are truly on the side of our Country. Stay peaceful!” he tweeted at 2:38 p.m. By that point, the mob had already shattered windows as they pushed inside the building.
His video statement repeated false claims about the fraudulent election and said, “We have to have peace. So go home. We love you. You’re very special.”
Their next step will be lawsuits in all the states to try and remove Trump’s name from the ballots.
You voted, cuz yer a dick

Was there even a US Senate vote? I missed that one.

Much of Raskin’s initial work with IPS focused on opposing the Vietnam War. He co-authored the Vietnam Reader with Bernard Fall in 1965, which was used in teach-ins across the country. In 1967, he co-authored with Arthur Waskow, a colleague at the Institute, “A Call to Resist Illegitimate Authority,” which urged support for those who resisted the draft and the Vietnam War. The “Call to Resist” was signed by thousands of people, and because of it Raskin and Waskow took part in turning in a thousand draft cards to the Department of Justice. In 1968, Raskin was indicted -— along with William Sloane Coffin, Dr. Benjamin Spock, Michael Ferber, and Mitchell Goodman—for conspiracy to aid resistance to the draft. The group became known as the “Boston Five”. In the case, Telford Taylor, prosecutor at the Nuremberg Trials, served as the defense attorney for Raskin. Not long after his acquittal, Raskin published the book Washington Plans an Aggressive War with Barnet and Ralph Stavins. These two books would begin Raskin’s critique of the “national security state”, a term he coined
In 1971, Raskin received from Daniel Ellsberg, documents that became known as the Pentagon Papers. Raskin put Ellsberg in touch with New York Times reporter Neil Sheehan, whom Ellsberg had first met in Vietnam.
Raskin’s most recent scholarship included serving as the editor of a series of books laying out how to achieve peace and justice for the think tank’s Paths for the 21st Century. The goal of this project was to generate ideas and proposals, across disciplinary lines and founded upon Raskin’s notion of “reconstructive knowledge”, which catalyze citizen action and help other scholars and activists pursue a progressive basis for a new society.

Not just a “majority.” Or a plurality. To be convicted of an impeachment indictment it has to be 2/3 IIRC. Raskin is a dissembling leftist.
Raghead Raskin hasn’t had an original idea in his life. This clown follows anyone who will lead him by his nose.
