Then, why Anti Religious Conversion laws in India???
India by its constitution is SECULAR. Look up meaning of that word in dictionery.
In my own case, I spent 20 years of my life growing up in India. My best friends were Sikh, Muslims and Christians, even though I was born in a Hindu family. Nobody cares what your religion is except a few fanatics. In a population of 1500 million, there always will be few fanatics. Just go look at Bollywood, which produces more movies than any other couutry. Movies are the dominant entertainment in India. Guess what? You will find top actors and actressesfrom every religion there.
Think about this. India has more Muslims than most countries in the world. Yet not many Muslim fanatics (911 style) come from India. Because Muslims are well integrated into the society. They do not feel isolated. Ditto with millions of Christians.
To keep low-caste Hindus especially Dalits) from leaving Hinduism and thereby the caste structure. Large numbers were converting to Christianity or Sikhism.
