President Biden on Wednesday suggested Russian President Vladimir Putin could be behind the plane crash in Russia that had Wagner Group chief Yevgeny Prigozhin listed as a passenger.

The second plane landed safely at Vnukovo after turning back.
The Russians say “Prigozhin always covers his tracks, checking in on one plane and flying on another”.
So we shall see.

It’s actually a weird situation. Russia, of course, immediately said that Ukraine had shot it down, there’s some speculation that PrIgozhin himself may not have been on the plane (but appeared on the passenger list, all of whom are now dead) and is getting a new identity somewhere, and then of course, there’s the obvious one, that Russia shot down the plane.
With Slavic countries, you never know what’s up…but then, you never know here anymore either.

That being said, it is more likely that the apparent death of Prigozhin is an internal Russian matter, possibly within the Wagner Group or as revenge by the Russian military.
