If it was the West that killed Prigozhin than it was likely because he fed them a line about overthrowing Putin, took their $2B and then double crossed them.

If Prigozhin were killed by American or French intelligence within Russia, it would indicate Russia has a serious internal security problem. T

Yes, I really don't know the truth.

But I can believe the CIA would provide intelligence to Ukraine operatives, having the US wage a silent war, before we send troops.

What’s with his “holier than thou” attitude. Biden is after the persecution by the DOJ of Trump.

To quote a freeper:

"Willful blindness is curable, but it requires intellectual curiosity on the part of the afflicted."

As I said before - we hope you're seeking help for that.

Maybe Biden/CIA are behind it.

You ducked the questions, you coward.

Why do you think they retreated from Kherson?

Are you unable to acknowledge they lack the military power to hold it, much less try and retake it?

I think you’re unable to square reality with your imagination of Russian military strength. I think you’ll duck the question again because there’s no rational answer. Your only mental escape hatch is to just cowardly avoid answering the question.

Willful blindness.

Note how the poster in question has horse blinders about the “victorious” Ukrainian army advancing on Kharkov from west of Kupyansk...

I don’t think the French have that capacity, unfortunately. I like the thought though.

What really happened is that Putin got his revenge. Maybe he’ll try to make a win-win situation out of this, and blame the downing of the plane on Ukraine...
It wouldn’t surpriser me one bit.
It has been Russias speciality for ever : blaming others for what they are secretly doing themselves...

Why do you think they retreated from Kherson?

We know what your IPhone told you about Kherson.

I'm not interested in things that your IPhone tells you.

That's why I don't have an IPhone, nor a TeeVee - so that MediaTards don't spread their mindrot to my brain.

That might be right.

When the Wagner boss abandoned his 'march on Moscow' there were some theorizing that the CIA put him up to it. That's right when they found an 'accounting error' that gave the Ukraine a few billion. So the idea suggested was the CIA paid Wagner and Wagner either took the money and marched the men, or told Putin who counter offered and the march broke up. Right after the march broke up, the Russian gov twitter account chastised the west (cia) for other similar failures (afghanistan etc.)

While Putin could down the plane, I would think he would target his adversary more specifically - he's not shy and would want people to know it was him, to make an example. Killing an entire planeload of people would infuriate the families of innocents. This would help the CIA continue to assert that anything wrong in the world is 1)Trump or 2) Putin.

Its not likely, a few in the Russian military acting on their own or a third party could have carried this out. During Wagner's mutiny they shot down several helicopters and planes, and killed 30 airmen. The Russian Army and Air Force have not forgotten how they were humiliated. There are all the suspicious accidents across Russia hitting war related industries. Once is a accident, a dozen times is sabotage.

I haven’t seen any indication that a member of the Ukrainian military has the ability to aim a weapon, never mind operate it successfully.

It must be difficult to suffer from blindness.

That is exactly what it was, I am certain.

Right on the heels of Wagner helping in Africa, esp Niger.

People here are not usually able to think that far. Thanks.

Bannon started his show this evening with a video clip of some talking head on CNN. The talking head was describing Putin and I couldn’t help think that he could be describing Biden instead. Corrupt, jails and kills his opposition … of course, Putin doesn’t do the jailing and killing of his opponents. He has the government do those things. Sort of like the DOJ/FBI/IC in America.

Cui Bono? is a useful question. Here, it should be asked in the following forms:
1) Who benefits from the death of not only Prigozhin but several key Wagner group leaders? One could quite easily and reasonably argue that Putin would benefit from Prigozhin getting his comeuppance for past shenanigan by letting potential upstarts know they wont be countenanced forever. However, Putin also knows Prigozhin is celebrated in his own right by Russians as a kind of hero of the Special Operation, whose sanctioned assassination, even if just susiected, would tend to weaken Putin’s authority. Add to this the decapitation of significant aspects of the vaunted Wagner Group’s leadership, especially when their role in Africa could prove critical, and Putin looks more like a victim here than a beneficiary.
2) Who benefits from taking out Prigozhin in the time and manner in which he died? While it is too early to say precisely what caused the crash of Prigozhin’s plane, we do know that an assassination by plane crash involving the pilot and others presumed to be innocent of Prigozhin’s follies exposes the perpetrator(s) to contempt for indulging in a process that bears no semblance to any kind of justice, even if Prigozhin’s behavior actually does rise to the level of treason. Further, to do this, deed when Prigozhin was preparing Wagner to play a significant role in the Niger coup affair (western hegemonic interests) seems more than poor timing. Add to that the blow this incident is to Russian leadership among “global south” countries virtually on the eve of the BRICS Summit with it’s aspiration of upsetting the dollar’s reserve currency status, and it’s hard to see how the clearly calculating Putin could remotely imagine Prigozhin’s death in this manner at this time could by any measure be beneficial to him or Russian interests.

Color me highly suspicious that an anti-Putin and probably anti-Russian entity executed this very damaging incident at this time and in these circumstances.
