Former Attorney General Bill Barr has floated the idea of home detention for Donald Trump should he be convicted of criminal conspiracy or classified documents crimes – raising the prospect of a former president serving time at a gilded prison he terms the 'winter White House.'
Barr made the comment in yet another revealing interview where he spoke about his departure from the Trump White House amid Trump's election overturn effort, and argued the former president was not entitled to 'immunity' during his reelection bid.
Trump's lawyers argued in a new filing to push his trial date in the January 6 case back to 2026.

at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?
Hey Bill, did you investigate that report of voter fraud from Michigan? I hope some good reporters will go and ask him that question.
Mister No-evidence-of-voter-fraud. What a crook!
“Lethargic” is MUCH too kind for that louse.
Lethargic? He’s cheerleading the prosecutors and giving the appearance that this “goes beyond party lines” when Barr was a Bush/Cheney plant all along.
Totalitarian regimes do put their serious political opponents under house arrest to prevent them from challenging the ruling regime.
I can’t believe Bill “Ruby Ridge” Barr has turned out to be a total Swamp propagandist !
Maybe on the lawn. Inside has too many bugs.
And the desantis supporters/nevertrumpers go ecstatic over the idea Trump might be kept from campaigning....
Fraudulent swine alert.
BOLO porcine White male, 425 stone w/bagpipes and 30 pieces of silver in his coin purse.
When Barr had a job, his lips were sealed shut.
Now that he’s out of office, he knows just what should be
done.
What a moroon...
Reasoned thoughts, but I'm thinking it should be addressed
as 30+ pieces of silver. Who knows where it came from and
how much?
I wonder if this deep state plant is getting paid to spew this crap. All of a sudden he has a lot to say.
Sounds like him and Krispy Kreme Kristy are colluding.
Yep, it sure is frustrating, to see people such as him, bending over backwards to prove how they oppose Trump, they agree in the prosecution of Trump, etc. It really seems bizarre.
We could make a list of many such Republicans. Mike Pence is on such a list too. He too is bending over backwards, to prove he is opposed to Trump, and by extension, is on board with all of this prosecution.
I really have not kept score as such. Are there any prominent Republicans condemning all of this? Newt Gingrich did so the other day, but he’s a blast from the past, not a current office holder or candidate. Anyone else currently in a position of power and influence, condemning the prosecutions against Trump? Matt Gaetz perhaps?
B team of the deep state!
Republicrats and Demopublicans - Trump must scare the **** out of them, because nothing they do to him seems to be effective.
It’s Barr who squashed all of the election fraud investigations. The President has ultimate authority to classify. I do not understand how Barr believes the President of the United States should be locked up over anything that is perceived to be classified in his home. At the President’s word if a piece of evidence is brought before him all he has to do is say it was declassified. Barr should go and get another Pfizer Booster every month until this nonsense stops with him. It is obvious that the FIB and CIA were in on the steal.
There aren’t more than a very few. They are all selling Trump
down the river as they did in 2015, 2016, and long after him
being sworn in.
The whole lot of them may have egg on their faces in about
15 months. It’s time to start taking names now. Save some
quotes we can serve up to them cold.
Speaker McCarthy came to Trump’s defense the other day, when
the reporters were trying to demonize Trump for questioning
the 2020 election validity.
McCarthy mentioned Gore, Clinton, the DNC, the Media, and
everyone else who ever challenged an election. When he was
done, CRICKETS!
It was so refreshing to see someone I’m not all that fond
of come to Trump’s defense.
It was an example of what we should have been seeing for
seven years. Instead we’ve seen so few of these that it
almost seems other worldly to actually see someone get it
right.
one question for bolshevik bill, what was the price you received for your soul? 30 pieces of silver?
