Yep, it sure is frustrating, to see people such as him, bending over backwards to prove how they oppose Trump, they agree in the prosecution of Trump, etc. It really seems bizarre.
We could make a list of many such Republicans. Mike Pence is on such a list too. He too is bending over backwards, to prove he is opposed to Trump, and by extension, is on board with all of this prosecution.
I really have not kept score as such. Are there any prominent Republicans condemning all of this? Newt Gingrich did so the other day, but he’s a blast from the past, not a current office holder or candidate. Anyone else currently in a position of power and influence, condemning the prosecutions against Trump? Matt Gaetz perhaps?
There aren’t more than a very few. They are all selling Trump
down the river as they did in 2015, 2016, and long after him
being sworn in.
The whole lot of them may have egg on their faces in about
15 months. It’s time to start taking names now. Save some
quotes we can serve up to them cold.
Speaker McCarthy came to Trump’s defense the other day, when
the reporters were trying to demonize Trump for questioning
the 2020 election validity.
McCarthy mentioned Gore, Clinton, the DNC, the Media, and
everyone else who ever challenged an election. When he was
done, CRICKETS!
It was so refreshing to see someone I’m not all that fond
of come to Trump’s defense.
It was an example of what we should have been seeing for
seven years. Instead we’ve seen so few of these that it
almost seems other worldly to actually see someone get it
right.
Rep. Matt Gaetz
@RepMattGaetz
It is deeply concerning that a United States District Court judge would exhibit such blatant political bias from the bench. Judge Tanya Chutkan’s extreme sentencing of January 6th defendants, while openly supporting the violent Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, showcases a complete disregard for her duty of impartiality and the rule of law.
Today I am introducing a resolution to censure and condemn United States District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, the judge presiding over President Donald Trump’s case in Washington, D.C., for showing open bias and partisanship in her official duties on the bench.
Justice may be blind, but the American people are not – we see Judge Chutkan for her actions, and we rebuke them in the greatest possible sense.
