God Bless Texas.
(In spite of 105 degree days for weeks on end)
Tennessee and Texas have no income tax. I am sure that helps. It’s unbelievable they are writing stories like this when most Americans aren’t making 100k. Just imagine trying to survive NY & SF on half that if 100k is worth a third of that amount.
What about in Lahaina?
Kinda explains why people leave New York to relocate in the South, it’s not just the warmer weather, it’s the 25% savings on just about all expenses.
Memphis comes with a free mugging
If I can clear out the cats in my rent house from my freak tenant I’m hoping to contribute to affordable housing in H town. After 13 years we discover the on time rent payer is a serious cat hoarder. Did not sleep there...just the cats.
But who wants to live in Memphis?
What about the U.S. cities where a $100,000 annuity goes the farthest?
Or the U.S. cities where a $75,000 salary goes the farthest?
After all, not everyone has an annual salary of $100,000.
Regards,
The problem is finding and actually getting a job that pays $100,000 in those places. Most of those areas have an average yearly salary of less than 50,000. High paying jobs do exist there but they are not abundant.
Sure seems like they deliberately missed out the affordability of the Midwest in general. Even though we aren’t a no income tax state in Indiana, we are a low tax state. Property taxes are pretty reasonable. Cost of living is pretty agreeable here, despite the hardships of the Burden administration.
Also, $100,000 is a little pricey for many people. I’d like to see them to a similar story for people who make much less.
looks mostly like a list of various Texas cities!
LMAO
$200k to be part of the Middle Class on Oahu...
