The sprawling racketeering indictment returned this week by a grand jury in Fulton County presents a wide range of challenges. with so many defendants, prosecutors and defense lawyers will labor to keep the names and conflicting stories straight for those jurors over weeks or months. There will be countless legal details and basic logistics to argue or work out — even down to finding a courtroom big enough to fit everyone.

How do you apply charges traditionally used to take down organized crime without risking miring the case in legal and logistical complications?

The Trump indictments are the largest denial of service attack on our national political landscape that we've ever seen.

It will be impossible to find a jury pool anywhere in the country that hasn't already formed opinions, since half the citizens already voted for or against President Trump twice, and half of them also voted for President Trump twice again in the primaries.

EVERYONE has an opinion now. That's why a fair trial of President Trump is impossible no matter the charge, no matter the location, no matter the timing.

Why not rent the coliseum? Since it’s a show trial might as well make it like the circus come to town.

In South America they sometimes use a soccer stadium for dealing with political dissidents.

With concessions vendors. Sort of like what the Democrats did at the funeral for Paul Wellstone.

Kind of like preparing the Enterprise for negotiations with the Legarans (in the TNG episode Sarek).

Trump should hire about 150 lawyers and demand each of his co-counsel have a seat in the courtroom.

Any trial in DC, NYC, and Fulton County is totally unfair and slanted heavily in favor of the prosecution. Over 90% of the voters in those venues went for Biden. These would be kangaroo courts.

Trump has a much better chance of a fairer trial in FL.

Gonna be hard to pick jurors that can afford to spend that much time on a case, and they will probably have to be sequestered.

Wonder if Ringling Bros. would rent out their tent? What better venue for a circus/show trial?

The strategy of the DemocRATS is of course to get one of the 19 defendants to flip. The way to do that is to threaten to ruin them financially by stretching out the trial so that the defendants run out of money to pay their lawyers.

“Trump should hire about 150 lawyers “

Great idea, except that most lawyers are afraid to represent him or his supporters, even if they want to. They are certain they’ll be disbarred.

This case and trial as laid out will take years and years to even find a jury member that is not biased. I don’t know how this goes forward as structured.
