Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation appears to be zeroing in on Sidney Powell, a conspiracy-theory-obsessed lawyer who was a key figure in Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
On Monday, Bernie Kerik — a longtime Rudy Giuliani associate and a Trump ally who worked on the Giuliani-led legal team challenging Trump’s 2020 defeat — sat with special counsel investigators for a roughly four-and-a-half-hour interview, according to his lawyer Tim Parlatore. (Parlatore previously served as a top attorney to Trump.)
“Based on the contents of their questions, and my understanding of criminal law, the main individual who was discussed who Mr. Kerik gave any information that could be incriminating would be Sidney,” Parlatore told Rolling Stone on Thursday.
Parlatore added that what Kerik told investigators included: “That there was no back-up for anything she said, that when she was asked to provide proof she didn’t produce anything, and when she was cut loose [from the official Trump legal team], how she kept trying to push her way in.”
Kerik, a former New York police commissioner, is one of the individuals who recently described to federal investigators details regarding Powell’s private behavior as she aided Trump’s attempts to subvert the 2020 election outcome. According to Parlatore, the ex-commissioner did not mince words: “During Bernie Kerik’s interview with the special counsel’s office, the issue of a possible mental health break and change in her demeanor and personality was discussed,” the attorney says.
Parlatore adds that during the investigators’ multi-hour interview with his client, the word “lunatic” was indeed used to describe Powell.
Or, as one source who’s been in the room recently with federal investigators succinctly puts it: “Sidney’s f****d.”
Asked to comment on the source’s two-word characterization, Parlatore simply replied with his own two-word statement: “I agree.”

I’ve been stating on FR from way back when the Kraken lawyer represented Gen Flynn that she was full of it. I have been consistent. I listened to the Court of Appeals case and also stated, before and after the hearing, that she had no case and Flynn would lose. I got universally shot down and still do. The Kraken is crazy (so is Ms Lake, but that is a different matter.) Just another example of the types of “help” Trump accepts. That’s crazy too and that’s also a different matter.

I know very well that the leftists are trying to make us look like dumb, lying fools.
She may have been wrong about much of what she claimed but she wasn’t wrong about the election being stolen. Just this week more info came out about fake votes...lots of them in Michigan and Texas. DJT wasn’t overturning an election...it was FJB who overturned an election.
So sounds like Powell maybe had a breakdown...it happens..especially under enormous stress.

It appears from the article that Trump didn't accept Powell's help.
They asked her for evidence (about the Kracken), she never gave it, they told her to get lost and she kept on trying to get back in.
Powell and Lake are both good women and are not crazy.
Powell has much more behind her than you give her credit. She is a very well trained lawyer and has a lot of credibility.

I looked over several articles regarding this, and this one seems to have most all the information consolidated.
According to reports (and multiple similar articles) Powell did officially work for Trump immediately after the election was conducted. However, Giuliani did not like her, and removed her from the official Trump legal defense team in late November 2020.
She continued to peruse cases on his behalf, on her own, and using her own funding sources. Then in December 2020, Trump himself invited her to meet at the White House.
Probably at her urging, although the impetus isn’t clear, Trump wanted to assign her as a special counsel to investigate the election, but was talked out of it by Mark Meadows and others. That appears to have been the final end of any official partnership.
But this raises a super intriguing question, does it not? Even if Trump chose to not assign Powell as a special counsel to investigate the election, why didn’t he assign someone else? Bill Barr was gone from the DOJ by then. I don’t remember ever hearing that detail, or possibility. But it makes perfect sense that it should have been done.
But back to the main story, discrediting her now, as some of these lawyers still seem intent on doing, just seems counterproductive to their case the election was stolen, and that it was only credible lawyers telling Trump to contest the election. Unless that’s not what Kerik and his lawyer actually think?

It appears that the left may have set Sydney up to try and discredit the legitimate work that the Trump team did.

It will be interesting to see where this story goes from here, because it is a fracture in the story that the election was truly stolen. And the part about Trump not appointing ANY special counsel to investigate it. If you were the President, and you truly believed it was stolen, why would you not try that?
That was my understanding at the time. I’m not sure she even met Trump. I know his advisors git rid of her and I think it was before Trump even met her.

It was likely a creation of the people who wished to discredit the stolen election story.
It's a big fat straw man.
Set up the German Server story and then knock it down and declare there was no stolen election.
